What is happening?
SANDWELL METROPOLITAN BOROUGH COUNCIL
The Borough Council of Sandwell (Station Road, Cradley Heath) (Temporary Road Closure) Order 2024 has made an order to temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along Station Road between Waterfall Lane and Seedhouse Court.
Traffic will be diverted via Beauty Bank, Halesowen Road, Haden Hill Road, Coombs Road and vice-versa. The maximum duration is 18 months but the work is expected to be completed by 01/06/2025 effective from 01/06/2024.
Purpose – to ensure the safety of the public following a failed inspection of a bridge (known as Wrights Bridge) by Sandwell MBC, and subsequent repairs by Canal and Rivers Trust.
