What is happening?

BUCKINGHAMSHIRE COUNCIL

THE COUNCIL HAS MADE

(Nash Rd, Great Horwood) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order, 2024 which will temporarily prohibit any vehicle from proceeding, except for access, in Nash Rd for approx 390M. Alternative route: Nash Rd, Bletchley Rd, Coddimoor Ln, Stock Ln, Whaddon Rd, Stratford Rd, Winslow Rd, Wood End and vice versa. The closure is required whilst a new water supply commences on 24 June 2024. The proposed Order will come into operation on 24 June 2024, as signed, with maximum 18 months duration.

(Wing Rd, Stewkley) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order, 2024 which will temporarily prohibit any vehicle from proceeding, except for access, in Wing Rd for approx 170M. Alternative route: High St South, Soulbury Rd, Parsons Walk, Stewkley Rd, High Rd, Liscombe Park, Littleworth and vice versa. The closure is required whilst a new water connection commences on 19 June 2024. The proposed Order will come into operation on 19 June 2024, as signed, with maximum 18 months duration.

(Claydon Rd, Quainton) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order, 2024 which will temporarily prohibit any vehicle from proceeding, except for access, in Claydon Rd for approx 273M. Alternative route: Claydon Rd, Quainton Rd, Botyl Rd, St Marys Rd, Winslow Rd, Church Way, East Claydon Rd, Granborough Rd, Marston Rd,High St Rd, Portway, Marston Hill, Pulpit Ln, Whitchurch Ln, North Marston Ln, Oving Rd, Whitchurch Rd, Pitchcott Rd, Church Ln, Pitchcott Hill, Blackgrove Rd, Lower St, Townsend, Lee Rdand vice versa. The closure is required whilst a service pipe repair commences on 10 June 2024. The proposed Order will come into operation on 10 June 2024, as signed, with maximum 18 months duration.

(Main St, Radclive) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order, 2024 which will temporarily prohibit any vehicle from proceeding, except for access, in Main St for approx 66M. Alternative route: Main St, Tingewick Rd, Buckingham Rd, Water Stratford Rd, Stowe Rd, Brackley Rd, Welsh Ln, Chackmore Rd and vice versa. The closure is required whilst a new water connection commences on 10 June 2024. The proposed Order will come into operation on 10 June 2024, as signed, with maximum 18 months duration.

(Kings Rd, Aylesbury) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order, 2024 which will temporarily prohibit any vehicle from proceeding, except for access, in Kings Rd for approx 39M. Alternative route: Walton Rd, Queens Park and vice versa. The closure is required to unblock ducting commencing on 12 June 2024. The proposed Order will come into operation on 12 June 2024, as signed, with maximum 18 months duration.

THE COUNCIL HAS MADE

The Buckinghamshire Council (Public Footpath No. 4, Wendover) (Temporary Footpath Closure) Order 2023 made on 8 December 2023, under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, has with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport been continued in force and will so continue until 8 December 2024. The effect of the Order is to continue temporarily prohibiting any person from proceeding, except for access, in that length of in that length of Public Footpath No. 4, Wendover at the junction of the footpath with railway crossing. The closure is required in the interest of public safety due to unsafe level crossing infrastructure. The closure will allow the installation of new steps on both sides of the level crossing and the addition of a step to deck level to enable a safer decision point for the user and less steep step up to the deck. The alternative route is via existing Public Highways, Wendover Road, A413, Nash Lee Lane, footpath No. 4A/1 and footpath 4/2.
