ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)
LONDON BOROUGH OF MERTON (DUNDONALD ROAD AND HARTFIELD CRESCENT. SW19) (TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
1. The London Borough of Merton Council hereby give notice that to facilitate tram level crossing works at the Dundonald Road / Hartfield Crescent tram crossing, they have made an Order, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit vehicular traffic in Dundonald Road and Hartfield Crescent.
2. Whilst the works take place no person will:-
(a) cause or permit any vehicle to enter or proceed in:-
(i) Dundonald Road, between its junction with Hartfield Crescent and the north-east kerb-line of the service road leading to the Wimbledon West Goods Yard; and
(ii) Hartfield Crescent, between its junction with Dundonald Road and a point 2 metres south-west of the common boundary of Nos. 64 and 66 Hartfield Crescent;
(b) wait, including for the purpose of loading or unloading any vehicle, in the roads of lengths of road specified in sub-paragraphs (a)(i) and (ii) above.
3. During the works, the width restriction outside No. 14 Dundonald Road will be suspended.
4. The prohibition will only apply during such times and to such extent as will from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
5. Vehicular access to properties adjacent to the prohibited roads or lengths of road will be maintained insofar as access is reasonably practicable without interference with the said works.
6. Vehicular traffic affected by the road closure should proceed as follows:-
(a) north-eastbound via Fairlawn Road, Wilton Crescent, Kingston Road and Hartfield Road; or
(b) south-westbound via Hartfield Road, The Broadway, Sir Cyril Black Way, Hartfield Road, Kingston Road, Wilton Crescent and Fairlawn Road.
7. Nothing in the Order will apply to: -
(a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works; or
(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a police community support officer in uniform; or
(c) any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes, subject to site conditions.
8. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.
9. The Order will apply on 15th June 2024 and 16th June 2024. Dated 23 May 2024.
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1) (BURLINGTON ROAD AND WEST BARNES LANE. KT3) (NO. 21 (TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC! ORDER 2024
1. The London Borough of Merton Council hereby give notice that to facilitate level crossing maintenance works at the northernmost level crossing on West Barnes Lane, they intend to make an Order, the effect of which would be to temporarily prohibit pedestrian and vehicular traffic in the said road and prohibit waiting by vehicles in Burlington Road.
2. Whilst the works take place, no person would:-
(a) cause or permit any vehicle to enter or proceed in West Barnes Lane, between the eastern kerb-line of Burlington Road and the western kerb-line of Linkway;
(b) cause or permit any vehicle to wait, including for the purposes of loading or unloading, in:-
(i) the length of West Barnes Lane specified in sub-paragraph (a) above;
(ii) West Barnes Lane, both sides, between the northern building wall of No. 50 West Barnes Lane and its junction with Burlington Road;
(iii) Burlington Road, both sides, between its junction with West Barnes Lane and the Burlington Road Tesco supermarket exit;
(c) enter or proceed on foot in the length of West Barnes Lane specified in sub-paragraph (a) above.
3. The restrictions would only apply during such times and to such extent as would from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
4. Any vehicle in contravention of any waiting restrictions imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.
5. The alternative routes for:-
(a) vehicles affected by the road closure would be via Claremont Avenue and Burlington Road, or vice versa;
(b) pedestrians affected by the road closure would be via the adjacent footbridge.
6. Nothing in the Order would apply: -
(a) to any person carrying out the works or any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works;
(b) to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a police community support officer in uniform; or
(c) to any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes, subject to site conditions; or
(d) so as to prevent pedestrian or vehicular access to premises in or adjacent to the length of road specified in sub-paragraph 2(a) above.
7. The Order would come into operation at 1am on Sunday 23rd June 2024 and remain in force until 6am on Saturday 20th July 2024. The works are anticipated to be carried out:-
(a) between 1am and 7am on Sunday 23rd June 2024;
(b) between 9pm on Sunday 23rd June 2024 and 4am on Monday 24th June 2024;
(c) between 11pm on Friday 19th July 2024 and 6am on Saturday 20th July 2024.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)
LONDON BOROUGH OF MERTON (LONDON ROAD AND UPPER GREEN WEST. MITCHAM) (TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
1. The Council of the London Borough of Merton hereby give notice that to facilitate water main replacement works in Upper Green West, Mitcham, they have made an Order, the effect of which will be to temporarily restrict vehicular traffic in the said road and suspend a length of the bus priority route in London Road.
2. During the works, no person will cause or permit any vehicle to:
(a) enter or proceed in Upper Green West, Mitcham, the northern arm (fronting Nos. 1 to 10 Upper Green West), from its junction with Upper Green West, the south-west arm, and its junction with London Road; or
(b) wait, including for the purpose of loading or unloading any vehicle, in the road or length of road specified in paragraph (a) above.
3. Any designated parking place situated in the road or length of road specified in paragraph 2 above will be suspended for the duration of the works.
4. During the works, the bus priority route in London Road will be suspended between its junction with Holborn Way and its junction with Majestic Way.
5. The restrictions will only apply during such times and to such extent as will from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
6. Nothing in the Order will apply to: -
(a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works; or
(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a police community support officer in uniform; or
(c) any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes, subject to site conditions; or
(d) any person requiring vehicular access to properties adjacent to the prohibited roads or lengths of road insofar as access is reasonably practicable without interference with the said works.
7. Vehicular traffic affected by the road closure should proceed via London Road northbound, Holborn Way and Upper Green West, the south-west arm.
8. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.
9. The Order will come into operation on Tuesday 11 th June 2024 and it is anticipated that the works will be completed on Friday 19th July 2024. However, the Order will remain in force for 12 months should further works be required.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTIONS 14(1), 22C and 22D (as amended) WIMBLEDON CHAMPIONSHIPS 2024 LONDON BOROUGH OF MERTON (CHURCH ROAD AND SOMERSET ROAD. SW19) (TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
1. The London Borough of Merton Council, on the recommendation of the Commissioner of Police of the Metropolis, hereby give notice that for purposes relating to danger or damage connected with terrorism, they intend to make an Order, the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict pedestrian and vehicular traffic in Church Road and Somerset Road, as required, during the Wimbledon Championships 2024.
2. Between the hours of 6am on Monday 1st July 2024 until 11.59pm on Monday 15th July 2024, when and where appropriate signs are being displayed, no person would:-
(a) enter or proceed in:
(i) Church Road, between its junction with Bathgate Road and its junction with Somerset Road;
(ii) Somerset Road, between its junction with Marryat Road and its junction with Newstead Way;
(b) cause or permit any vehicle to enter or proceed in the roads or lengths of road specified in sub-paragraph 2(a) above.
3. The Order would confer powers to police constables and persons authorised by them to direct that any provision of the Order be suspended, commenced or revived, and to place barriers and obstructions on the roads or lengths of road specified in subparagraph 2(a) above, as they consider appropriate. The Order would also confer the power of discretion to police constables and authorised persons which would enable them to facilitate limited access to certain vehicles and pedestrians, including residents and those wishing to attend the event.
4. Alternative routes for diverted traffic would be indicated by advance warning and diversion signs but would likely use one or more of the following roads:- Church Road, High Street Wimbledon, Parkside, Wimbledon Park Side, Inner Park Road, Augustus Road, Replingham Road, Merton Road, Durnsford Road, Gap Road, Leopold Road, Arthur Road and St Mary's Road.
5. The Order would come into operation on Monday 1st July 2024, and remain in force until Monday 15th July 2024 inclusive.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1) LONDON BOROUGH OF MERTON (ASTON ROAD. CANNON HILL LANE AND QUINTIN AVENUE) (TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
1. The Council of the London Borough of Merton hereby give notice that to facilitate tree cutting and pruning works in Aston Road, Cannon Hill Lane and Quintin Avenue, they have made an Order, the effect of which will be to temporarily restrict vehicles from waiting or parking in the roads specified in the Schedule to this notice.
2. During the works, no person will cause or permit any vehicle to wait, including for the purpose of loading or unloading that vehicle, within 10 metres of any tree in any of the roads or lengths of road specified in column 2 of the Schedule to this notice.
3. Any designated parking place situated in the roads or lengths of road specified in the Schedule to this notice will be suspended for the duration of the works. The works will be carried out under a rolling programme of parking suspension to minimise the inconvenience to residents.
4. The restrictions will only apply during such times and to such extent as will from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
5. Nothing in the Order will apply to: -
(a) any vehicle being used in the execution of the said works; or
(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a police community support officer in uniform; or
(c) any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes, subject to site conditions.
6. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.
7. The Order will come into operation on Tuesday 28th May 2024 and the anticipated works dates are listed in column 3 of the Schedule to this Notice. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months during which its provisions will be re-introduced should further works be required.
