What is happening?

CAMBRIDGESHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL

NOTICE is given that Cambridgeshire County Council has made an Order pursuant to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, the effect of which:

Eden Crescent, Chatteris (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-669
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Eden Crescent, Chatteris as lies between number 18 and the B1050. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate drainage and associated works which are being carried out on or
near this highway and it will come into operation on 10 June 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 9 December 2025 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 08:00hrs and 18:00hrs 10 June to 12 July 2024.

Dowgate Road (B1169), Leverington (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-673
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Dowgate Road (B1169), Leverington as lies between the A1101 and Pickards Way. The alternative route for vehicles is via B1169 – B1166 – Sandbank, Wisbech St Mary – B1542 – Harecroft Road, Wisbech – A1101 and vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate signal replacement and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 10 June 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 9 December 2025 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 10 June and 14 June 2024.

West Street, Wisbech (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-674
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along West Street, Wisbech as lies between Howletts Hill and Kings Walk. The alternative route for vehicles is via Church Terrace – Stermyn Street – A1101 – Elm Road and vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate gas connection and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 10 June 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 9 December 2025 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 10 June and 14 June 2024.

Long Drove, Coldham (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-677
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Long Drove, Coldham as lies between Speedwell Farm and Flowerpots Bungalow. The alternative route for vehicles is via Jew House Drove (C35), Elm – B1101 – Station Road, Coldham
and vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate water main
installation and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 3 June 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 2 December 2025 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 3 June and 7 June 2024.

Alexandra Road, Wisbech (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-682
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Alexandra Road, Wisbech as lies between Love Lane and Post Office Lane. The alternative route for vehicles is via B198 – Coalwharf Road – Somers Road – Queens Road and Kings Road or Kings Road – Queens Road – Somers Road – Coalwharf Lane – B198 – Bridge Street and Post Office Lane. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate meter exchange and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 3 June 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 2 December 2025 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 3 June 2024.

Goodens Lane, Newton-in-the-Isle (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-683
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Goodens Lane, Newton-in-the-Isle as lies between Karrow Meadows and the B1165. The alternative route for vehicles is via Church Lane – Rectory Road – B1165 and vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate meter exchange and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 17 June 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 16 December 2025 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 17 June and 19 June 2024.

Redmoor Bank, Elm (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-697
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Redmoor Bank, Elm as lies between Greeves Farm and Begdale Road. The alternative route for vehicles is via Redmoor Bank – B1101 – A1101 – A47 – Redmoor Lane (C31), Wisbech – Begdale Road (C31), Elm and vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate water meter upgrade and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 19 June 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 18 December 2025
whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 08:00hrs and 16:00hrs 19 June 2024.

Middle Broad Drove, Tydd St Giles (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-698
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Middle Broad Drove, Tydd St Giles as lies between Black Dike and Tindall Barns. The alternative route for vehicles is via Broad Drove East – Newgate Road – B1165 – Roman Bank (C14), Newton-in-the-Isle – Fitton End Road – Fitton End Road, Gorefield – Goredike Bank (C15), Newton-in-the-Isle – Cross Drove – Cross Drove, Tydd St Giles and vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate meter
exchange and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 10 June 2024 and continue until
these works have finished or on the 9 December 2025 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 10 June and 12 June 2024.

Station Road (B1101), March (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-709
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Station Road (B1101), March as lies between points 20m either side of the railway level crossing situated there as measured from its gates or barriers. The alternative route for vehicles is via B1101 – B1099 – A141 – Twenty Foot Road – B1101 and vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate essential maintenance works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 29 June 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 28 December 2025 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out overnight between 23:00hrs 29 June and 09:00hrs 30 June 2024.

Needham Bank, Friday Bridge (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-715
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Needham Bank, Friday Bridge as lies between Rivendell and Bramble Lane. The alternative route for vehicles is via Needham Bank – The Cottons, Outwell – Pius Drove, Upwell – Town Street,
Upwell – A1101 – B1101 – The Stitch, Friday Bridge – Needham Bank and vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate water pipe laying and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 17 June 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 16 December 2025 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 17 June and 28 June 2024.

Norfolk Street, Wisbech (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-736
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Norfolk Street, Wisbech as lies between numbers 88 and 113. The alternative route for vehicles is via West Street – Norfolk Street – Royal Place. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate water meter upgrade and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 27 June 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 26 December 2025
whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 19:00hrs and 06:00hrs 27 June to 28 June 2024.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14(1) AS AMENDED BY THE ROAD TRAFFIC (TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ACT 1991 VARIOUS ROADS, NORTH DIVISION (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-746
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along various roads as set out in Schedule 1 below. Nothing in this Order shall prevent access and egress
from premises or land adjacent to the highway mentioned in Schedule 1.
The Order is necessary for safety reasons to facilitate carriageway regeneration and associated works. The proposed Order will come into operation on 1 June 2024 and will continue until these works have finished
or on the 30 November 2025 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that this order will apply to the locations, at various times during the dates specified

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along various roads as set out in Schedule 1 below. Nothing in this Order shall prevent access and egress
from premises or land adjacent to the highway mentioned in Schedule 1.
The Order is necessary for safety reasons to facilitate carriageway patching and associated works. The proposed Order will come into operation on 3 June 2024 and will continue until these works have finished or on the 2 December 2025 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that this order will apply to the locations, at various times during the dates specified in the Schedule. The above orders shall not apply to any persons lawfully engaged in connection with any works for which these are made, any member of the Police Force, Fire and Rescue Service, Ambulance Service, a vehicle being
used by Special Forces during the execution of their duties or to any person acting with the permission or upon the direction of a Police Officer in uniform.
