THE BARNET (PRESCRIBED ROUTE) (NO. *) TRAFFIC ORDER 20** ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 23 THE BARNET (FREE PARKING PLACES, LOADING PLACES, WAITING, LOADING AND STOPPING RESTRICTIONS) (AMENDMENT NO.*) ORDER 20** THE BARNET (CHARGED-FOR PARKING PLACES) (AMENDMENT NO.*) ORDER 20**
HIGHWAYS ACT 1980 - SECTION 90A HIGHWAYS ACT 1980 - SECTION 90C
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Barnet propose to make the above-mentioned Order under Sections 6 and 84 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers.
In order to address concerns about speeding, and to improve general road safety, the general effect of the Order would be to introduce a maximum speed limit of 20mph in the following roads/section of roads:
- Ashurst Road
- Bramber Road
- Buxted Road
- Castle Road
- Fenstanton Avenue
- Finchley Park
- Friary Road
- Friary Way
- Lambert Road
- Friern Park
- Lambert Way
- Friern Watch Avenue
- Lewes Road
- Glenhurst Road
- Lynton Avenue
- Grove Road
- Mayfield Avenue
- Horsham Avenue
- Petworth Road
- Ravensdale Avenue
- Stanhope Road
- Torrington Grove
- Torrington Park
- Valley Avenue
- Warnham Road
NOTICE IS ALSO HEREBY GIVEN that the London Borough of Barnet in exercise of powers conferred by Section 90C of the Highways Act propose to introduce new raised tables constructed to cover the full width of the carriageway, as follows:
FURTHER NOTICE is hereby given that the London Borough of Barnet in exercise of powers conferred by Section 90A of the Highways Act 1980 proposes to introduce speed cushions as follows:

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Barnet propose to make the above-mentioned Free Order under Section 6 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers.
In order to maintain road safety and traffic flow, deter obstructive parking, and improve sightlines and safety, the general effect of the above Orders would also be to introduce new lengths of 'At any time' waiting restrictions at the following locations:
(a) Friary Road N12, north-west side, near its junction with Friern Barnet Lane.
(b) Friary Road N12, north-west side, opposite its junction with Friary Way, by converting lengths of existing single yellow line waiting restrictions.
(c) At the junction of Friary Road and Friary Way N12, by converting lengths of existing single yellow line waiting restrictions.
(d) Torrington Park N12, north side, certain lengths between No. 90 Torrington Park and 7and 10 Copwood Close, by converting lengths of existing single yellow line waiting restrictions and resident permit holder only parking.
(e) Torrington Park N12, south side, certain lengths between Nos. 77 and 79 Torrington Park, by converting lengths of existing single yellow line waiting restrictions and resident permit holder only parking.
(f) Torrington Park N12, north side, certain lengths between No. 110 Torrington Park and 7/8 Deepdene, by converting lengths of existing single yellow line waiting restrictions and resident permit holder only parking.
(g) Torrington Park N12, south side, certain lengths between Nos. 113 and 119 Torrington Park, by converting lengths of existing single yellow line waiting restrictions and resident permit holder only parking.
(h) Torrington Park N12, both sides, certain lengths between Nos. 133a and 141 Torrington Park.
(i) At the junction of Torrington Park and Friern Barnet Lane N12. (j) Friern Park N12, north side, outside Fernhall, Friern Park. (k) Friern Park N12, south side, certain lengths between 138 and 144 Friern Park. (l) Buxted Road N12, both sides, outside No. 31 Buxted Road near its junction with Ashurst Road. At the junction of Buxted Road and Friern Barnet Lane N12.
A copy of the proposed Orders, associated plans of the relevant areas and the Council's Statement of Reasons for proposing to make the Orders can be obtained, inclusive for a period of 28 days from the date on which this notice is published, by emailing parking.consultations@barnet.gov.uk or by writing to the Design Team, Highways Section, 2 Bristol Avenue, Colindale, London NW9 4EW. Further information on the proposals may be obtained by visiting the Barnet Traffweb website at www.barnettraffweb.co.uk or telephoning the Design Team on 020 8359 3555. Any person wishing to object to or comment on the proposed Orders should send a written statement explaining their objection/comments, and quoting reference number SCR570 to the Design Team, London Borough of Barnet, 2 Bristol Avenue, Colindale NW9 4EW, via the Barnet TraffWeb website or via email to HighwaysCorrespondence@Barnet.gov.uk within 28 days of the date of this Notice.
