What is happening?

CAMBRIDGESHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL

NOTICE is given that Cambridgeshire County Council intends after seven days, to make an Order pursuant to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, the effect of which: New Road, Guilden Morden

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-728

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along New Road, Guilden Morden as lies between Number 47 and Valley Farm. The alternative route for vehicles is via Guilden Morden Road, Steeple Morden - North Brook End - Trap Road - New Road and vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate overhead electrical cable replacement and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 10 June 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 9 December 2025 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 08:00hrs and 18:00hrs 10 June 2024. Royston Road, Litlington

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-693

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Royston Road, Litlington as lies between points 20m either side of the railway level crossing situated there as measured from its gates or barriers.

The alternative route for vehicles is via A505 -A1198 - The Causeway, Bassingbourn Cum Kneesworth - High Street - Brook Road -Bassingbourn Road, Litlington - South Street or via Church Street - Silver Street - Meeting Lane - Bassingbourn Road - Brook Road, Bassingbourn Cum Kneesworth - High Street - The Causeway - A1198 - A505. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate essential maintenance works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 30 June 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 29 December 2025 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out overnight between 01:35hrs and 06:35hrs 30 June 2024.

Access will be maintained to properties affected by these orders.

The above orders shall not apply to any persons lawfully engaged in connection with any works for which these are made, any member of the Police Force, Fire and Rescue Service, Ambulance Service, a vehicle being used by Special Forces during the execution of their duties or to any person acting with the permission or upon the direction of a Police Officer in uniform.
