Datblygiad a gynigir yn: Safle Gwaith Brics Seiont, i’r de ddwyrain o Gaernarfon, Gwynedd

Rwyf yn hysbysu bod: Seiont Ltd
yn gwneud cais i Weinidogion Cymru am ganiatâd cynllunio mewn perthynas â Datblygiad o Arwyddocâd Cenedlaethol (DAC), sef: Adeiladu ‘STOR’ 20Mwe (gronfa weithredu tymor byr, y cyfeirir ato fel ‘peaking plant’). Mae’r datblygiad yn cynnwys 10 injan wedi’i danio gan nwy naturiol a seilwaith cysylltiedig. Bydd y setiau cynhyrchu, ystafell swits a’r adeilad gweithredwr y rhwydwaith dosbarthu i gyd o fewn compownd wedi’i ffensio o tua 3300 metr sgwâr. Bydd ceblau ‘twin’ yn cael eu gosod mewn ffos sengl ar hyd ffordd halio bresennol i gysylltu â chysylltiad grid 33KV presennol ger ffin ogleddol y chwarel.

Town and Country Planning Act 1990 (As Amended) The Developments of National Significance (Procedure) (Wales) Order 2016(As Amended)

NOTICE UNDER ARTICLE 18 OF APPLICATION FOR PLANNING PERMISSION IN RESPECT OF DEVELOPMENT OF NATIONAL SIGNIFICANCE

Proposed development at: Seiont Brickworks Site, to the south east of Caernarfon, Gwynedd

I give notice that: Seiont Ltd is applying to the Welsh Ministers for planning permission in respect of Development of National Significance (DNS) which is: Construction of a 20Mwe STOR (short term operating reserve, referred to as a peaking plant). The development comprises 10 natural gas fuelled engines, and associated Infratructure. The generating sets, switchroom, distribution network operator building will all be within a fenced compound of approximately 3300 square metres. Twin cables will be laid in a single trench alongside an existing haul road to connect to an existing 33KV grid connection adjacent to the northern border of the quarry.

Members of the public may inspect copies of:
• the application;
• the plans; and
• other documents associated with it
at: Gwynedd Council, Shirehall Street, Caernarfon, LL55 1SH during all reasonable hours until 27/6/2024 and, online at https://planningcasework.service.gov.wales/ - and search for CAS-02628-Y1D2Z7 or ‘Seiont’.

Anyone who wishes to make representations about this application must write to the Welsh Ministers (details below) by 27/6/2024. All representations received will be published online as soon as the deadline has passed.
