What is happening?

BIRMINGHAM CITY COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 (AS AMENDED) SECTION 14(2)
(BORDESLEY GREEN, HEARTLANDS) (17013715) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is hereby given that Birmingham City Council intend, not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from entering or proceeding in either direction along BORDESLEY GREEN, HEARTLANDS between its junction with Broadway Avenue and its junction with Finnemore Road.

The Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic is required to allow gas maintenance works in the carriageway to be undertaken in safety.

An alternative route for vehicles affected by this Order will be via Victoria Street, Muntz Street, Golden Hillock Road, Small Heath Highway, Coventry Road, Church Road and Stoney Lane.

These prohibitions shall apply only during such times and to such extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by The Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

The Order will come into operation on 13th June 2024 and will remain in force for a period of THREE WEEKS or until the works are completed whichever is the earlier.
