James Towers Way - Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic
What is happening?

(JAMES TOWERS WAY, PRESTON, PRESTON CITY)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Lancashire County Council have made an Order under Section 14(1) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic on the roads set out in this notice.
1. No person shall cause any motor vehicle to proceed over that length of A6 James Towers Way, Preston from its junction with Garstang Road to its junction with Whittingham Lane Roundabout.
2. Nothing in this order shall apply to persons engaged in the carrying out of the works.
3. The prohibition will be operative nightly from 2000 hours until 0600 hours on 28th May 2024 until 12th June 2024 or until completion of the works within this period. Access for emergency services will be maintained.
4. An alternative route for vehicular traffic affected by the closure is via: -
Garstang Road
AND FURTHER – The Bus Gate will be suspended during the operational hours of the closure on James Towers Way, Preston.
The temporary prohibition is necessary to allow Lancashire County Council to carry out asphalt preservation works.
