Greek Street - Temporary One Way Traffic To Install A New Water Connection Take Place
What is happening?
THE METROPOLITAN BOROUGH COUNCIL OF STOCKPORT (GREEK STREET, STOCKPORT) (TEMPORARY ONE WAY TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Metropolitan Borough Council of Stockport proposes to make an Order not less than 7 days from the date of this Notice under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffc Regulation Act 1984 as amended by the Road Traffc (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, the effect of which will be to introduce Temporary One Way Traffc at Greek Street, One Way Westbound closure from the junction of Mulberry Mount Street to Shaw Heath whilst traffc signs to that effect are in place on or near the said road. This Order is necessary to allow works to install a new water connection take place. It is anticipated the maximum duration of the works will be 1 day. Alternative routes will be via:- Wellington Road South, Bramhall Lane, Cale Green and Shaw Heath. There will be an exemption for emergency vehicles and pedestrians. This Order is to come into operation on the 22 June 2024 and will have effect for eighteen months, provided that if all necessary works are completed within a shorter period this Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period.
