What is happening?
BOROUGH OF ROCHDALE
(EID PRAYERS, ROCHDALE) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF WAITING) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Rochdale Borough Council intend, in not less than seven days, to make an Order, the effect of which will be to temporary prohibit vehicles from waiting at any time along: l Both sides of Bolton Road from its junction with Marland Fold for a distance of 150 metres in a south westerly direction. The Order is required to maintain the free flow of traffic along Bolton Road during the times that the event is being held.
The Prohibition of Waiting Order will be operative from 06:00 hours until 11:30 hours on the 16th & the 17th June 2024.
(MILNROW AND NEWHEY CARNIVAL, MILNROW AND NEWHEY) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF VEHICLES AND TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF WAITING) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Rochdale Borough Council intend, in not less than seven days, to make an Order, the effect of which will be to:
i) Temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along:
l Haugh Lane – for its entire length,
l Railway Street – for its entire length,
l Huddersfield Road – from its junction with Haugh Lane to its junction with Newhey Road/Shaw Road,
l Newhey Road – for its entire length,
l Dale Street – for its entire length,
l Station Road – for its entire length,
l Equitable Street – for its entire length,
l Harbour Lane North – for its entire length,
l Bridge Street – from its junction with Harbour Lane North to its junction with Dale Street.
ii) Temporarily prohibit vehicles from waiting at any time along:
l Haugh Lane – for its entire length,
l Huddersfield Road – both sides from its junction with Haugh Lane to its junction with Peppermint Close, l Newhey Road – the westerly side from the M62 Bridge to its junction with New Street.
The Order is required to facilitate the safe holding of the Milnrow and Newhey Carnival.
The Prohibition of Vehicles will be operative from 12:30 hours until 14:30 hours on 15th June 2024. The Prohibition of Waiting will be operative from 09:00 hours until 14:30 hours on 15th June 2024. Due to the nature and duration of the event it is not necessary for alternative routes to be in place.
(YORKSHIRE STREET, ROCHDALE) (TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF LIMITED WAITING PARKING BAY & PROHIBITION OF NO WAITING AT ANY TIME) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Rochdale Borough Council intend, in not less than seven days, to make an Order, the effect of which will be to temporarily:-
i) Suspend (part of) the Borough of Rochdale ((Civil Enforcement of Traffic Contraventions) (Various Streets) (Rochdale Township) Order 2008

Yorkshire Street, Rochdale
ii) Suspend the north-west side from a point 10 metres south-west of its junction with Union Street for a distance of 32 metres in a south-westerly direction.
Prohibit vehicles from waiting at any time on Yorkshire Street, from the south-west side of Yorkshire Street from its junction with Union Street to a point of 32 metres in a south-westerly direction.
The Order is required to facilitate a new electricity service connection on behalf of Electricity North West. The Order will be operative from 08:00hours on the 17th June 2024 until 18:00hours on the 20th June 2024.
(CATON STREET, ROCHDALE) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF VEHICLES) (TEMPORARILY PROHIBIT VEHICLES FROM WAITING AT ANY TIME) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Rochdale Borough Council made an Order, the effect of which is to temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along or waiting at any time on Caton Street from a point 18metres north west of its junction with Back Drake Street for a distance of 12metres in a north westerly direction.
The alternative route for vehicles will be Back Drake Street, Ann Street, Drake Street, Church Stile, Great George Street.
The Order is required to facilitate repair of electricity services in the carriageway.
The Order will be operative from 08.00 hours on the 3rd June 2024 until 17:00 hours on the 7th June 2024.
(NEWCHURCH STREET & ALBION STREET, ROCHDALE) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF VEHICLES & TEMPORARILY PROHIBIT VEHICLES FROM WAITING AT ANY TIME) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Rochdale Borough Council made an Order, the effect of which is to:
i) Temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along Newchurch Street from its junction of Albion Street from a point of 10 metres in a Southerly Direction on both sides of the carriageway.
ii) Temporarily prohibit vehicles from waiting at any time on both Newchurch Street from its junction of Albion Street from a point of 10 metres in a Southerly Direction & Albion Street from its junction of Newchurch Street from a point of 10 metres in a Westerly direction to its junction of Colne Street from a point of 10 metres in a Easterly direction for a total distance of 170 metres on both sides of the carriageway. The alternative route for vehicles will be Grosvenor Street, St Martin’s Street, Albion Street & vice versa.
The Order is required to facilitate the safe Installation of Gas Mains on the carriageway
The Order will be operative from 08.00 hours on the 03rd June 2024 until 17:00 hours on the 01st July 2024.
(RAMSEY TERRACE, ROCHDALE) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF VEHICLES) (TEMPORARILY PROHIBIT VEHICLES FROM WAITING AT ANY TIME) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Rochdale Borough Council made an Order, the effect of which is to temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along or waiting at any time on Ramsey Terrace from the junction with Ramsey Street to its full extent. There are no other alternative routes available. The Order is required to facilitate the safe resurfacing of the carriageway The Order will be operative from 08.00 hours on the 03rd June 2024 until 17:00 hours on the 17th June 2024.
(ROCH VALLEY WAY, ROCHDALE) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF VEHICLES ORDER) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Rochdale Borough Council have made an Order, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along Roch Valley Way from its junction with Bury Road for a distance of 230 metres in a Southerly direction to its Junction of Half Acre Lane.
The Order is required to facilitate the safe installation of Resurfacing of the carriageway.
The Order will be operative from 08:00 hours until 18:00 hours each day on the 1st June 2024 until the 2nd June 2024.
The alternative route for this will be via Bury road, Dane Street, Manchester Road, Rochdale Road & vice versa.
