What is happening?

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate manhole repair and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 5 June 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 4 December 2025 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 09:00hrs and 16:00hrs 5 June 2024.

Church Street, Stapleford (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-753
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Church Street, Stapleford as
lies between The A1301 and Priams Way. The alternative route for vehicles is via A1301 – Bury Road – Haverhill Road – Gog Magog Way and vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate electrical cable installation and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 3 June 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 2 December 2025 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 3 June and 14 June 2024.

Babraham Road (A1307), Cambridge
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-757 Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Babraham Road (A1307), Cambridge as lies between Gog Magog Farm Cafe and Cherry Hinton Road. The alternative route for vehicles is via A1307 – A1134 – A1309 – A1301 – A505 – A11- A1307 and vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate carriageway crack sealing and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 1 June 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 30 November 2025 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 20:00hrs and 05:00hrs 1 June 2024 and 1 June 2025.

East Road (A603), Cambridge
(TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF CYCLE LANE) ORDER 2024-758
Will be to temporarily suspend the cycle lane on East Road (A603), Cambridge as lies between Parkside and Newmarket Road. During the period this Order remains in force The City of Cambridge Area A (Consolidation) Order 1993 (Amendment No. 102) Order 2001: Schedule 23 Part 2 Mandatory with flow cycle lane, East Road on its southeast side from a point 24 metres northeast of the centreline of St Matthew’s Street for a distance of 150 metres in a northeasterly direction. East Road on its northwest side from a point 20 metres northeast of the centreline of Burleigh Street to a point 39 metres northeast of the centreline of St Matthews Street, East Road on its southeast side from a point 17 metres southwest of the centreline of Norfolk Street to its junction with St Matthew’s Street. East Road on its northwest side on its junction with Parkside to a point 49 metres southwest of the centreline of Bradmore Street is hereby suspended.

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate carriageway maintenance and associated works which are being carried out on or near the cycle lane and it will come into operation on 3 June 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 2 December 2025 whichever is the earlier. This Order shall be in force when the signs are in place at each end of the above section of road whilst works taking place on East Road (A603), Cambridge are in progress. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 19:00hrs and 06:00hrs 3 June to 7 June 2024.

Bell Road, Bottisham
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-759
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Bell Road, Bottisham as lies between number 18 and High Street. The alternative route for vehicles is via Lode Road – B1102 – Albert Road, Stow-Cum-Quy – A1303 and vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate remove and replace link box and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 3 June 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 2 December 2025 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 3 June and 7 June 2024.

Cambridge Road (A1301), Great Shelford
(TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF CYCLE LANE) ORDER 2024-767
Will be to temporarily suspend the cycle lane on Cambridge Road (A1301), Great Shelford as lies between number 171 and Red Hill Lane. During the period this Order remains in force The County of Cambridge (Cambridge Road and High Green, Great Shelford) (Mandatory With-flow Cycle Lane) Order 1993; Schedule Lengths of road or sides of road in the District of South Cambridgeshire Parish of Great Shelford Mandatory With-flow Cycle Lane Cambridge Road: (location – direction of travel), Northeast side from its junction with Shelford Road, Cambridge, south-eastward to a point 83m southeast of its junction with Westfield Road, and from its junction with Westfield Road, south-eastwards to its junction with Davey Crescent, Great Shelford – Northwest to southeast (direction of travel), Southwest side, from its junction with Davey Crescent, Great Shelford, north-westward to a point 268m southwest of its junction with Westfield Road, and from a point 83m southeast of its junction with Westfield Road to it junction with Shelford Road, Cambridge – Southeast to northwest is hereby suspended.

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate telecommunications and associated works which are being carried out on or near the cycle lane and it will come into operation on 3 June 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 2 December 2025 whichever is the earlier. This Order shall be in force when the signs are in place at each end of the above section of road whilst works taking place on Cambridge Road (A1301), Great Shelford are in progress. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 09:30hrs and 17:00hrs 3 June 2024.

Mount Pleasant, Cambridge (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 24-837
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Mount Pleasant, Cambridge as lies between Huntingdon Road (A1134) and Shelly Row.
The alternative route for vehicles is via A1134 – A1303 – A1134.
The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate carriageway improvement and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 30 May 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 29 November 2025 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 30 May 2024 and 6 June 2024.
