What is happening?

Highways

Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.

TONBRIDGE & MALLING AREA

DUNKS GREEN ROAD, SHIPBOURNE TN11 9RU (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Dunks Green Road, Shipbourne, on or after 17th June 2024 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Silver Hill Cottages. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Dunks Green Road, Roughway Lane, The Hurst, Oxenhoath Road, Park Road, Hamptons Road and vice versa.

ISMAYS ROAD, IGHTHAM TN15 9BE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow tree felling work to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Ismays Road, Ightham, on or after 25th June 2024 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from outside Old Orchard House to junction with Sandy Lane. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Ismays Road, A227 Tonbridge Road, Back Lane, Ismays Lane and vice versa.

NEW WHARF ROAD & BRADFORD STREET, TONBRIDGE TN9 1SD (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING & SUSPENSION OF ONE-WAY) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow gas works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of New Wharf Road & Bradford Street, Tonbridge, on or after 17th June 2024 for up to 12 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside 1 & 2. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The One-way order on Bradford Street will be suspended.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via New Wharf Road, B2260 High Street, Bradford Street, River Walk and vice versa.

ORCHARD DRIVE, TONBRIDGE TN10 4LD (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Orchard Drive, Tonbridge, on or after 19th June 2024 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between 53 and 63. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Orchard Drive, A26 Cornwallis Avenue, A26 Hadlow Road, Higham Lane, Orchard Drive and vice versa.

PILGRIMS WAY, WROTHAM TN15 7NN (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Pilgrims Way, Wrotham, on or after 17th June 2024 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Bowyers Field. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Pilgrims Way, Nepicar Lane, A20 London Road, Pilgrims Way and vice versa.

TAYLORS LANE, TROTTISCLIFFE TN15 7JW (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow fibre works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Taylors Lane, Trottiscliffe, on or after 30th June 2024 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between the junctions of A227 Gravesend Road and Addington Lane. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Addington Lane, Trottiscliffe Road, A20 London Road, A227 Gravesend Road, Vigo Hill and vice versa.

WINTERFIELD LANE, EAST MALLING ME19 6SY (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To carry out road layout changes to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Winterfield Lane, East Malling, on or after 20th June 2024 for up to 107 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between the junctions of Chapman Way and A20 London Road. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any Eastbound through traffic is via Winterfield Lane, A20 London Road, New Road, Chapman Way, Winterfield Lane.

The alternative route for any Westbound through traffic is via Winterfield Lane, A20 London Road, Town Hill, Swan Street, Lucks Hill, Winterfield Lane.
