What is happening?

Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.

MAIDSTONE AREA

B2012 HOLLAND ROAD, MAIDSTONE, ME14 1UL (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of B2012 Holland Road, Maidstone, on or after 9th June 2024 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside 5, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any eastbound through traffic is via A249 Sittingbourne Road, A249 Wat Tyler Way, A249 Mote Road, A249 Knightrider Street, A229 Mill Street, A229 Bishops Way, A229 Fairmeadow, B2012 Staceys Street, B2012 Lower Boxley Road, B2012 Well Road.

The alternative route for any westbound through traffic is via B2012 Well Road, B2012 Lower Boxley Road, B2012 Staceys Street, A229 Fairmeadow, A229 Bishops Way, A229 Palace Avenue, A229 Lower Stone Street, A249 Mote Road, A249 Wat Tyler Way, A249 Andrew Boughton Way, A249 Sittingbourne Road.

B2079 GOUDHURST ROAD, MARDEN (30MPH SPEED REDUCTION) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of B2079 Goudhurst Road, Marden, on or after 19th June 2024 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be restricted from Marden Primary Academy and the Pumping Station. A speed limit of 30MPH will be in place. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

BATTLE LANE, MARDEN TN12 9DE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow new water connection to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Battle Lane, Marden, on or after 19th June 2024 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Summerhill Cottages. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Battle Lane, B2079 Maidstone Road, Howland Road, Battle Lane and vice versa.

BICKNOR ROAD, MAIDSTONE, ME15 9PR (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow new electric connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Bicknor Road, Maidstone, on or after 3rd June 2024 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Heather House. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Longshaw Road, Wallis Avenue, Bicknor Road and vice versa.

CHART ROAD, CHART SUTTON ME17 3RB (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Chart Road, Chart Sutton, on or after 17th June 2024 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Cedar View. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Chart Road, A274 North Street, Warmlake Road, Norton Road, Chart Hill Road and vice versa.

CHURCH ROAD, OTHAM, ME15 8UP (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Church Road, Otham, on or after 3rd June 2024 for up to 33 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside St. Nicholas Church. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Church Road, Gore Court Road, A274 Sutton Road, Willington Street, Deringwood Drive and vice versa.

DEAN STREET, EAST FARLEIGH ME15 0QA (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow overhead cabling works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Dean Street, East Farleigh, on or after 20th June 2024 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Deangate, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Dean Street, B2010 Lower Road, B2163 Ewell Lane, B2163 Heath Road and vice versa.

GRIGG LANE, HEADCORN TN27 9LS (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow frame and cover replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Grigg Lane, Headcorn, on or after 17th June 2024 for up to 4 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside The Ringles. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Baker Lane, Lenham Road, Forge Lane, Oak Lane, Grigg Lane and vice versa.

JAMES STREET, MAIDSTONE, ME14 2UG (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow signal loop repair works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of James Street, Maidstone, on or after 3rd June 2024 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside the Allotment Gardens, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via James Street, Wheeler Street, Holland Road, B2012 Well Road, Boxley Road and vice versa.

RAYNERS HILL, LENHAM ME17 2ED (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Rayners Hill, Lenham, on or after 20th June 2024 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside The Harrow Inn, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Waterditch Lane, Hubbards Hill, A20 Ashford Road, Rayners Hill and vice versa.

RINGLESTONE ROAD, WORMSHILL (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow carriageway resurfacing works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Ringlestone Road, Wormshill, on or after 4th June 2024 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside The Barn. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via The Street, Bedmonton, Frinsted Lane, Court Danes Shaw, Court Dane Shaws and vice versa.

ROSE LANE, LENHAM HEATH ME17 2JR (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Rose Lane, Lenham Heath, on or after 17th June 2024 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Mulberry House. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

There is no alternative route for any through traffic and access will be maintained.

ULCOMBE ROAD, LANGLEY ME17 3JJ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow drainage repair works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Ulcombe Road, Langley, on or after 17th June 2024 for up to 7 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Wood Dene. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via B2163 Leeds Road, A274 Maidstone Road, Chartway Street, Pitt Road, Ulcombe Road and vice versa.
