Dartford, Multiple Temporary Traffic Regulation Notices

What is happening?

Highways

Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.

DARTFORD AREA

A296 WATLING STREET, SWANSCOMBE, DA2 8AH (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

Because of gantry and bridge inspections, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of A296 Watling Street, Swanscombe, on or after 3rd June 2024 for up to 1 night between 20:00hrs and 06:00hrs or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from the B255 Bean Lane/Road roundabout to the entry slip for the A2.

The alternative route is via B255 Bean Lane, A2 Westbound at Bean Interchange to the A2/M25 Darenth Interchange and vice versa.

B259 SOUTHFLEET ROAD, SWANSCOMBE, DA10 1AL (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

Because of resurfacing of roundabout approaches, laying of HFS course and renewal of associated road markings, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of B259 Southfleet Road, Swanscombe, on or after 5th June 2024 for up to 10 nights between 21:00hrs and 05:00hrs or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed Southfleet Roundabout, incoming roads and pedestrian crossings approaches.

The alternative route is via B259 Southfleet Road, A2260 Southfleet Road, A2 Watling Street, B255 Bean Lane, B255 St Clements Way, A226 London Road, B259 High Street, B259 Stanhope Road, B259 Southfleet Road and vice versa.

FULWICH ROAD, DARTFORD, DA1 1UW (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING & ONE WAY SUSPENSION) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

Because of Thames Water works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Fulwich Road and St Albans Road, Dartford, on or after 3rd June 2024 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed Fulwich Road will be closed at the junction with St Albans Road, and St Albans Road will be closed at the junction with Fulwich Road. The One Way Order on Fulwich Road will be suspended to allow access.

The diversion for Fullwich Road is via Great Queen Street, St Martins Road, Carrington Road, St Vincents Road, Fulwich Road and vice versa.

The diversion for St Albans Road is via St Martins Road, Great Queen Street, Fulwich Road and vice versa.

HOOK GREEN LANE, WILMINGTON. DA2 7AL (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

Because of Thames Water works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Hook Green Lane, Wilmington, on or after 17th June 2024 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between Carfax and Pax House.

The alternative route is via Hook Green Lane, Broad Lane, Common Lane, Oakfield Lane, Leyton Cross Road and vice versa.

MILL ROAD, HAWLEY, DA2 7QX (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

Because of sewer cleansing, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Mill Road, Hawley, on or after 7th June 2024 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between Cross Road and Hawley Road

The alternative route is via A225 Hawley Road, Shirehall Road, Ash Road, Mill Road and vice versa.
