What is happening?

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ARRANGEMENTS THE FIRS, COVENTRY

Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), has made a temporary Order, the effect of the Order will be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering or proceeding on The Firs from outside number 28 and continuing to a point outside number 5 The Firs.

The Order would come into effect from 00:01 hours on Tuesday 28th May 2024 and is required to enable Severn Trent Water to renew water connections safely on the said road.

The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works would be completed by Friday 31st May 2024.

The specific closure times would apply as the signage indicates on site.

Diversion(s) for vehicular traffic would be as signed on site.

Exemptions would be provided for:

(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or civil enforcement officer in uniform;

(b) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory undertaker vehicles at the time of an emergency for that vehicle to have access to part of a street under restriction imposed by the Order;

(c) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works;

(d) local vehicular access to The Firs

Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ARRANGEMENTS HUNTINGTON ROAD, COVENTRY

Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), has made a temporary Order, the effect of the Order would be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering or proceeding on Huntingdon Road from outside number 67 to number 81 Huntingdon Road.

The Order would come into effect from 00:01 hours on Tuesday 28th May 2024 and is required to enable Severn Trent Water to carry out water connection renewals safely.

The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works would be completed by Thursday 6th June 2024.

The specific closure times would apply as the signage indicates on site.

Diversion(s) for vehicular traffic would be as signed on site.

Exemptions would be provided for:

(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or civil enforcement officer in uniform;

(b) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory undertaker vehicles at the time of an emergency for that vehicle to have access to part of a street under restriction imposed by the Order;

(c) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works;

(d) local vehicular access to Huntington Road

Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ARRANGEMENTS WALL HILL ROAD, COVENTRY

Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), has made a temporary Order, the effect of the Order will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding on Wall Hill Road.

The Order will come into effect at 08.00 hours on 29th May 2024 and is required to facilitate the safe installation of new water connections.

The specific closure times will apply as the signage indicates on site. Diversion(s) for vehicular traffic will be as signed on site.

Exemptions will be provided for any vehicle being used in connection with the works, emergency service vehicles, any person upon the direction of or with the permission of a police officer in uniform and local vehicular access Wall Hill Road.

Pedestrian access to all properties within the restriction and access through the restriction will be maintained along defined routes throughout the period of the closure.

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ARRANGEMENTS FIVEFIELD ROAD, COVENTRY

Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), has made a temporary Order. The effect of the Order will be to prohibit vehicles entering or proceeding on that part of Fivefield Road commencing at a point 300 metres north west direction of its junction with Bennetts Road and proceeding to a point 300 metres west of that junction. A distance of 1300 metres or thereabouts to junction B4098.

The Order will come into effect at 09.30 hours on Tuesday 28th May 2024 and is required to facilitate drainage installation works being undertaken safely.

The specific closure times will apply as the signage indicates on site. Diversion(s) for vehicular traffic will be as signed on site.

The Order will remain in effect for 18 months but it is envisaged the works will be completed by 18.00 hours on 23rd June 2024 and that the Order will cease to have effect at that time.

Exemptions will be provided for any vehicle being used in connection with the works, emergency service vehicles, any person upon the direction of or with the permission of a police officer in uniform and local vehicular access the restricted section of Fivefield Road.

Pedestrian access to all properties within the restriction and access through the restriction will be maintained along defined routes throughout the period of the closure.

TEMPORARY PARKING & TRAFFIC ARRANGEMENTS VARIOUS ROADS, COVENTRY

Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), has made a temporary Order, the effect of which will prohibit waiting, loading and unloading, entering or proceeding of any vehicle on the entire lengths of road specified in The Schedule below when prescribed signs are displayed. The roads will be closed or restricted on a number of occasions for the various durations.

The Order will come into effect at 07:00 hours on 28 May 2024 and is required for carriageway resurfacing works and associated works to be undertaken safely.

Diversion routes will be sign posted where appropriate and access to premises maintained wherever possible except when works is directly in front of a property.

Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

The maximum duration of the Order is 18 months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is envisaged that the works will be completed by 31 October 2024.

Exemptions will be provided for:

(a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of said works;
(b) emergency service vehicles;
(c) any persons requiring reasonable vehicular access or egress to properties on the closed section of road.

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ARRANGEMENTS BRAYS LANE, COVENTRY

Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), has made a temporary Order, the effect of the Order will prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering, proceeding along Brays Lane between its junctions with Ethelfield Road and St Agatha’s Road.

The Order will come into effect from 08:00 hours on Tuesday 28th May 2024 and is required for facilitate communication pipe repair works on the highway to take place safely.

The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works will be completed by 18:00 hours on Friday 31st May 2024.

The specific closure times will apply as the signage indicates on site.

Exemptions will be provided for:

(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or civil enforcement officer in uniform;

(b) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory undertaker vehicles at the time of an emergency for that vehicle to have access to part of a street under restriction imposed by the Order;

(c) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works

(d) local vehicular access to Brays Lane

Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ARRANGEMENTS ST MARTINS ROAD, COVENTRY

Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), intends to make a temporary Order, the effect of the Order would be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering or proceeding on St Martins Road from its junction with Green Lane to its junction with Stonebridge Highway.

The Order would come into effect at 00.01 hours on Sunday 9th June 2024 and is required to enable Severn Trent Water to locate, relay and connect the water service to 1 Seagrave Road to a new 250mm main in Acacia Avenue.

The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works would be completed by Sunday 9th June 2024.

The specific closure times would apply as the signage indicates on site.

Diversion(s) for vehicular traffic would be as signed on site.

Exemptions would be provided for:

(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or civil enforcement officer in uniform;

(b) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory undertaker vehicles at the time of an emergency for that vehicle to have access to part of a street under restriction imposed by the Order;

(c) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works;

(d) local vehicular access to St Martins Road

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ARRANGEMENTS MOTOFEST EVENT 2024, COVENTRY

Coventry City Council (“the Council”) under Section 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, as amended, intends to make a temporary Order (“the Order”), the purpose of which is to facilitate the holding of, and to enable members of the public to watch, the Motofest Event 2024.

The Order would come into effect at 18.00 hours on Friday 31st May 2024 and remain in place until 06.00 hours on Monday 3rd June 2024.

The general effect of the Order would be to:-

(a) suspend the following:-
a. bus gates on HALES STREET and PARK ROAD
b. Taxi Rank on WARWICK ROAD;
c. No Entry on SHORT STREET
d. the existing speed limit on all roads listed in Schedule 2

(b) impose the following traffic movements:-

a. anti-clockwise traffic flow on the existing clockwise section JUNCTION 4 GYRATORY [A4114] (London Road to Ringway Whitefriars);

b. all anti-clockwise vehicular traffic on RINGWAY HILL CROSS [A4114] must exit onto Ringway Hill Cross off slip road;

c. southbound traffic flow on the northbound inside lanes of both QUEEN VICTORIA ROAD and GREYFRIARS ROAD from Croft Road to Sheriff’s Orchard;

d. WARWICK ROAD S/B carriageway between Central Six and Eaton Road to be made two way.

e. Reverse the traffic flow on Manor House drive from Friars House Car Park entrance/exit in a northerly direction for approximately 25m

(c) prohibit all vehicles from:-

(i) waiting, loading or unloading on the roads or lengths of roads listed in the Schedules 1, 2 and 3;

(ii) entering or proceeding on the roads or lengths of roads and through the junctions listed in the Schedules 1, 2 and 3;

(iii) Turning left from A4114 LONDON ROAD GYRATORY into City Centre;

(d) prohibit pedestrians and animals from entering or proceeding on the roads or lengths of roads listed in Schedule 2 and the footpaths Numbered 238, 239, 240, 241, 246, 247, 249, 251 and 252 and known as FP Warwick Road from No 25 Manor House Drive; and

(e) provide spectator areas for the public to view the event, to such extent and at such time as indicated by prescribed traffic signs. to such extent and at such time as indicated by prescribed traffic signs on site.

Nothing in Schedule 1 or 2 would apply to: -

(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or an authorised event marshal;

(b) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory undertaker vehicles at the time of an emergency for that vehicle to have access to part of a street under restriction imposed by the Order;

(c) any vehicle being used in connection with the event displaying the relevant photographic identification;

(d) southbound vehicular traffic access to CITY ARCADE CAR PARK [and service area] and SHERIFF’S ORCHARD, via Queen Victoria Road and Greyfriars Road;

(e) vehicular access to ST JOHNS STREET, SEVERN TRENT CAR PARK and Police Staff from Ringway St Johns;

(f) Access for residents to SPENCER AVENUE and DAVENPORT ROAD and GREYFRIARS ROAD and SHERIFFS ORCHARD

Nothing in Schedule 2 would apply to: -

(a) persons appointed by the event promoter as officials or marshals (however described);

(b) vehicles and drivers issued with a permit by the motor sport governing body;

(c) animals used in connection with the emergency services at the time of an emergency for the animal or animals to have access to part of a street under restriction imposed by the Order.

Any vehicle waiting in contravention of the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.
