Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
ASHFORD AREA
A28 RYE ROAD, NEWENDEN, TN31 6FE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER JUNE 2024
To allow replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of A28 Rye Road, Newenden, from 19.00 hours on 4th June 2024, with estimated completion by 05.00 hours on 5th June 2024, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of Newenden Bridge, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route is via A28 Rye Road, Bodiam Road, Peters Green Road, Castle Hill, Shoreham Lane, Rock Hill, B2165 Northiam Road, Adams Lane, Horns Cross, Well House Hill, Perryman Cross, A28 Hastings Road, A28 Main Street, A28 Station Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
BOWER ROAD, MERSHAM. TN25 6NG (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER JUNE 2024
To allow repair works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Bower Road, Mersham, on or after 18th June 2024, for up to 3 days, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of number 16, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route is via Bower Road, The Street, A20 Hythe Road, Station Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
BROCKMANS LANE, KINGSNORTH. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER JUNE 2024
To allow installation works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Brockmans Lane, Kingsnorth, on or after 17th June 2024, for up to 23 days, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of Steed Lane (track road), to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route is via Brockmans Lane, Finn Farm Road, Rutledge Avenue, Cheesemans Green Lane, South Stour Road, Coopers Lane, Colliers Hill, Chequer Tree Farm Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
FORGE LANE & WEST STREET, ASHFORD. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER JUNE 2024
To allow replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Forge Lane & West Street, Ashford, from 19.00 hours on 4th June 2024, with estimated completion by 05.00 hours on 5th June 2024, or until the works have been completed.
The roads will be closed in their entirety, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route is via Godinton Road, Elwick Road, A2042 Station Road, A292 Somerset Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
HIGH HALDEN ROAD, BIDDENDEN. TN27 8JQ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER JUNE 2024
To allow pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of High Halden Road, Biddenden, on or after 21st June 2024, with estimated completion by 24th June 2024, between the hours of 09.00 and 17.00, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of Drayton House Farm, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route is via Bush Lane, High Halden Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
HURSTFORD LANE, CHARING. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER JUNE 2024
To allow utility works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Hurstford Lane, Charing, on or after 17th June 2024, with estimated completion by 18th June 2024, between the hours of 08.00 and 16.00, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of Premier Preowned Vehicles, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route is via Calehill Road (known locally as The Street), Pluckley Road, Leacon Lane and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
LONG LENGTH, KINGSNORTH, TN23 3GR (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER JUNE 2024
To allow replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Long Length, Kingsnorth, on or after 3rd June 2024, for up to 5 days, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between Magpie Hall Road and Merino Way Roundabout, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route is via Magpie Hall Road, Ashford Road, Britannia Lane, Chart Road, Long Length and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
SPARROW HATCH LANE, BETHERSDEN. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER JUNE 2024
To allow installation works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Sparrow Hatch Lane, Bethersden, on or after 17th June 2024, for up to 5 days, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of The Lodge, Dowle Street Farm, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route is via Sparrow Hatch Lane, Dowle Street Road, Pluckley Road, Bethersden Road, Sparrow Hatch Lane and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
WYE ROAD, HASTINGLEIGH. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER JUNE 2024
To allow utility works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Wye Road, Hastingleigh, on or after 17th June 2024, for up to 7 days, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of Stable Cottage, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route is via Wye Road, Coldharbour Lane, Scotton Street, High Street, Churchfield Way, Bridge Street, Bramble Lane, A28 Canterbury Road, A28 Ashford Road, A28 Canterbury Road. Shalmsford Street, Chartham Downs Road, Street End, B2068 Stone Street, B2068 Wye Road, Thorn Lane, Dean Hill, Dean Bottom, From Dean Bottom To District Boundary, The Street, Wye Road and vice versa.
