What is happening?

EAST SUSSEX COUNTY COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
The East Sussex (U7546 Churchsettle Lane, Wadhurst) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

To allow Network Rail to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure
Churchsettle Lane – from the junction with U7546 Buttons Lane to the junction with C214 Stonegate Road.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via C214 Stonegate Road – B2099 Ticehurst Road – U7548 Darbys Lane, Brinkers Lane – U7546 Buttons Lane and vice versa.

The Order commences 9 June 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 9 June 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (C408 Dewhurst Lane, Wadhurst) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

To allow Openreach to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure
Dewhurst Lane – from the junction with B2099 Station Hill to the junction with U7886 Whitegates Lane.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via U7886 Whitegates Lane – C539 Three Oaks Lane – B2099 Station Hill and vice versa.

The Order commences 27 May 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier.

However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 27 May 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (C539 Three Oaks Lane, Wadhurst) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

To allow BT Openreach to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure
Three Oaks Lane – from the junction with C539 Turners Green to the junction with B2099 Station Hill.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible and an alternative route for through traffic via B2099 Station Hill, Durgates – B2100 Sparrows Green Road – C272 South View Road – C539 Turners Green and vice versa.

The Order commenced 26 February 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 28 May 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (U7466 Corseley Road, Groombridge) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024 No.2

To allow South East Water to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure
Corseley Road – from the junction with C70 Station Road to the junction with U7466 Forge Road.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via U7844 Motts Mill – B2188 Cherry Gardens Hill, Hendal Hill – B2110 Withyham Road – C70 Station Road and vice versa.

The Order commences 28 May 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier.

However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 28 and 31 May 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (A22 London Road, Forest Row) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure
London Road – from the junction with A22 Lewes Road to the junction with C250 Wall Hill Road.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via A22 (West Sussex) – A264 Holtye Road, Colestock Road, East Grinstead Road – A264 (Kent) – A26 (Kent) – A267 Frant Road – C70 Bunny Lane – A26 Eridge Road, Beacon Road, Uckfield Road, Five Ash Down, Uckfield bypass – A22 Maresfield bypass, Horney Common, High Street, Mill Brook Hill, Wych Cross, Lewes Road and vice versa.

The Order commences 28 May 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier.

However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken from 20:00hrs to 06:00hrs between 28 May and 22 June 2024, depending upon the weather conditions.
