What is happening?

The Dorset Council (Waiting, Loading, Stopping and Parking Places) (Map Based) (Amendment No. 2) (Old Barn Farm Road & Oak Field Road, Woolsbridge Industrial Estate, Three Legged Cross) Order 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of Dorset has made the above-mentioned Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. When the order comes into operation on 24 May 2024 the effect of the Order will be to formalise the existing no waiting at any time restrictions at Old Barn Farm Road and Oak Field Road, Woolsbridge Industrial Estate, Three Legged Cross. If you wish to question the validity of the Order or any provisions contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or on the grounds that any requirement of that Act or of any Instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Order you may within six weeks of the date of this Notice apply to the High Court for that purpose.

Temporary Closure of Various Roads, Upton

DORSET COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along Various Roads, Upton as follows:

[i] Beacon Park Road, Upton at its junction with Dorchester Road; [ii] Moorland Way, Upton at its junction with Dorchester Road. The order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 17th June 2024 and will remain in force for 18 months, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 5th July 2024. This Order will enable SGN, safe access to relay and decommission gas main. A locally signed diversion route will be put in place to enable traffic to travel around the closed sections.

Any person who uses or permits the use of a vehicle in contravention of the Notice will be liable on summary conviction to a fine not exceeding £1000.
