What is happening?

Essex County Council

(Uttlesford District) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On-Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) (Amendment No.27) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given Colchester City Council acting on behalf of the North Essex Parking Partnership in exercise of the delegated powers of the traffic authority Essex County Council granted under an Agreement dated 1st July 2022 has made the above Order under Sections 1(1), 2(1) to (3), 4(1), 4(2), 32, 35, 45, 46, 49 and 53 and Parts III and IV of schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

The effect of the Order:

1. To introduce 'No Waiting/Stopping at any time' Red route - B1256/The Pastures, Takeley. Double red route on the north side of the B1256 opposite its junction with The Pastures. On its south side at the junction with The Pastures for approximately 16 metres extending into The Pastures on its West side and 18 metres on its East side.

2. To revoke sections of the No waiting Mon – Fri 10am - 11am at the junction of The Pastures and B1256 for a distance of approximately 10 metres on both East and West side (replaced by red route at point 1.)

3. To introduce 'No waiting/Stopping at any time' red route for a distance of on the south of the B1057 (Lime Tree Hill where it meets Church street) Dunmow for approximately 60 metres west along Lime Tree Hill. On the North of B1057 opposite the Angel & Harp Public house for approximately 75 metres West along Lime Tree Hill.

This Order will be incorporated into The Essex County Council (Uttlesford District) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On-Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019 by replacing tile numbers TL555 212 TL555 210, TL560 212 and TL625 227 Revision 0 with TL555 212 TL555 210, TL560 212 and TL625 227 revision 1.

Date of operation: The Order will come into operation on 17th June 2024.

Application to the high court: Anyone who wishes to question the validity of the Order of any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or on the grounds that any requirement of the Act, or any instrument made under it, has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may within six weeks from the date of the making of the Order apply to the High Court for this purpose.

(Ickleton Road, Great Chesterford) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Ickleton Road, Great Chesterford in the District of Uttlesford, from a point approximately 150m north west of its junction with Newmarket Road for a distance of approximately 40m in a westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 20th June 2024 for 1 night (00:01 - 04:30), or where stated on a valid permit (KL736BGK-45-75-200624 - Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while maintenance works are undertaken by Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd.

An alternative route is available via Ickleton Road, Newmarket Road, Walden Road Roundabout East, Walden Road, Walden Road Roundabout West, Walden Road, Connecting Road To Roundabout For B1383 And B184, Cambridge Road, Causeway, A505 From Pampisford To Duxford, A505 From M11 Junction 10 To Station Road East, Hunts Road, Ickleton Road, Ickleton Road (C284), Duxford Road (C284), Abbey Street (C284), Frogge Street, Ickleton Road and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 30th May 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Old Mead Road, Henham) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Old Mead Road, Henham in the District of Uttlesford, from a point approximately 490m south west of its junction with Hall Road for a distance of approximately 70m in a south westerly direction. The closure is

scheduled to commence on 18th June 2024 for 4 days, or where stated on a valid permit (MX06057592/AP - Affinity Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new connection works are undertaken by Affinity Water.

An alternative route is available via Old Mead Road, Hall Road, Church Street, Crow Street, Mill Road, Henham Road, High Street, Station Road and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 30th May 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Strethall Road, Littlebury) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Strethall Road, Littlebury in the District of Uttlesford, from a point approximately 635m south west of its junction with Peggys Walk for a distance of approximately 80m in a south westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 21st June 2024 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (BC008WFGMWJ0N - Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while pole installation works are undertaken by Openreach.

An alternative route is available via Strethall Road, Littlebury Green Road, Chestnut Avenue, London Road, Littlebury Green Road, Strethall Road and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 30th May 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Clatterbury Lane, Clavering) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Clatterbury Lane, Clavering in the District of Uttlesford, from a point approximately 355m north east of its junction with The Druce for a distance of approximately 45m in a north easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 5th June 2024 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (MX06054905/AP - Affinity Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new water supply works are undertaken by Affinity Water.

An alternative route is available via Clatterbury Lane, High Street, Middle Street, Pelham Road, Pump Hill, Conduit Lane, B1038 from its junction with Biggin Hill to Andersons Lane, B1368 North from junction with Hare Street Road to Biggin Hill, B1368 from its junction with Hare Street Road to The Start of Dassells Hill, Dassels Hill, Dassels, Hay Street, Green End, Station Road, Wickham Hill, Buntingford Road, A10 - B1368 Roundabout, A10 Puckeridge Bypass, A10 - A120 Roundabout, Standon Hill, Kents Lane, Stortford Road, Standon Road, Little Hadham Bypass, Hadham Road, Bishops Stortford Bypass, Birchanger Roundabout, Stansted Road, Pines Hill, Silver Street, Cambridge Road, London Road, Cambridge Road, London Road, High Street, Wicken Road, Clatterbury Lane and vice versa.

The Order came into effect on 16th May 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Dewes Green Road, Berden) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Dewes Green Road, Berden in the District of Uttlesford, from both of its junctions with Pelham Road for a distance of approximately 165m in a north easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 3rd June 2024 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (KA140RFSI1257577 - Gigaclear). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while fibre optic works are undertaken by Gigaclear.

No alternative route is available.

The Order came into effect on 16th May 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
