What is happening?

(ROAD LINKING B4290 AND PRETTYMAN DRIVE, LLANDARCY) (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is hereby given that Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council has made an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended).

The effect of the Order will be to temporarily prohibit vehicular traffic from proceeding along the length of road set out in the Schedule below whilst the Order is in force. During such periods as are indicated by traffic signs informing the public that the road is closed.

The Order is necessary to enable Forest Traffic Services to undertake works to their apparatus in the road.

The Order will come into force on the 28th May 2024 and shall continue in force for a maximum duration of 18 months or until the works are completed, whichever is the sooner. It is anticipated the work will take approximately three weeks to complete.

 SCHEDULE
Road linking B4290 to Prettyman Drive, Llandarcy will be closed from the junction of Crown Way in a southerly direction for a distance of approximately 55 metres along its length.

The alternative route for vehicular traffic will be via the road from Llandarcy Village to Jersey Marine, School Road, B4290 New Road and B4290 from Ashleigh Terrace to the A483.

Access for emergency vehicles and pedestrians will be maintained at all times whilst the Order is in force.
