HYSBYSIR DRWY HYN bod y Cyngor fel yr Awdurdod Priffyrdd ar gyfer Pen-y-bont ar Ogwr drwy arfer ei bwerau o dan Adran 14(1) Deddf Rheoleiddio Traffig Ffyrdd 1984 (fel y’i diwygiwyd) wedi gwneud Gorchymyn a fydd yn cyflwyno dros dro’r cyfyngiadau a amlinellir yn yr atodlen isod. Mae’r Gorchymyn yn hanfodol ac er budd diogelwch y cyhoedd i reoli traffig yn ystod gwaith adeiladu ar gyfer adnewyddu Pont New Inn, oherwydd lled gweithio annigonol y dec. Daw’r Gorchymyn i rym ar 27/05/2024. Rhagwelir y bydd y gwaith arfaethedig yn digwydd o 27 Mai 2024 tan 31 Hydref 2024, neu hyd nes y cwblheir asesiad o’r gwaith a wnaed i’r strwythur am gyfnod o 18 mis ar y mwyaf. Amserlen-Ni chaiff unrhyw berson achosi i unrhyw gerbyd barhau ar hyd yr A48 o’i chyffordd gyda Heol New Inn (Gogledd Orllewin) at gyffordd Heol New Inn gyda Heol Merthyr Mawr, Merthyr Mawr am bellter o oddeutu 1100 metr. Gall cerbydau ddilyn llwybr arall drwy’r A48 (Island Farm) i Heol Merthyr Mawr ac fel arall, gan ddefnyddio cylchfan Ewenni. Sicrheir mynediad drwy’r cyfyngiad i’r Heddlu, Gwasanaethau Tân ac Ambiwlans mewn argyfwng. Cynhelir mynediad i gerddwyr at bob eiddo o fewn y cyfyngiad ar hyd llwybrau a ddiffinnir drwy gydol y cyfnod cau. Fodd bynnag, ni fydd y cyfyngiad yn weithredol ond ar yr adegau ac i’r graddau ag a nodir o bryd i’w gilydd gan arwyddion traffig a ragnodir gan Reoliadau a Chyfarwyddiadau Cyffredinol Arwyddion Traffig 2016.

BRIDGEND COUNTY BOROUGH COUNCIL (NEW INN BRIDGE, MERTHYR MAWR) TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council as the Highway Authority for Bridgend in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) has made an Order which temporarily introduces the restriction set out in the schedule below. The Order is necessary and is in the interest of public safety to control traffic during construction works for the refurbishment of New Inn Bridge, due to narrow working widths on the deck. The Order will come into force on the 27/05/2024. It is anticipated the planned works will be undertaken from 27 May 2024 until 31 October 2024, or until such time as the time as an assessment is completed into the completion of works to the structure for a maximum period of 18 Months. Schedule-No person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along A48 from its junction with New Inn Road (North West) to New Inn Road junction with Merthyr Mawr Road, Merthyr Mawr for a distance of approximately 1100 meters. The alternative route for vehicles is via A48 (Island Farm) to Merthyr Mawr Road and vice versa, utilising Ewenny roundabout. Access will be provided through the restriction for Police, Fire and Ambulance Services responding to emergencies. Pedestrian access to all properties within the restriction will be maintained along defined routes throughout the period of the closure.The restrictions shall however only apply at such time and to such extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by The Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
