Crooklands, Temporary Prohibition Of Traffic Due To Highway Repair Works
What is happening?
WESTMORLAND AND FURNESS COUNCIL (U5365 CROOKLANDS) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF ALL TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable highway repair works to be carried out ("the Works"), Westmorland and Furness Council intends to make an Order the effect of which is to prohibit all traffic (i.e. vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists), from proceeding along that section of the U5365 Crooklands, from a point approx.245m south west its junction with the U5366, extending in a south westerly direction for approx. 510m.
A suitable alternative route for vehicles will be signed and available via the unrestricted sections of the U5365, A65, C5077and U5366.

The Order will come into operation on 10th June 2024 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restriction will only be required for 12 days and only as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.
