ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)

Notice of Temporary Traffic Order

Didcot, Footpath 189/20/20

Date of Order: 03/06/2024

Coming into force: 10/06/2024

This Order is being introduced because of scour repairs to Hopkins Bridge (footpath required for works access, material storage etc) which is anticipated to take 2 months to be completed.

The effect of the Order is to close temporarily Footpath number 189/20/20. Appropriate signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force.

Exemptions are included for emergency services and the Works.

The alternative route is via Blackwater Way - Ingrebourne Way, the A4130 and vice-versa.

The order will be in force for 6 months or until the works are completed whichever is the sooner. (Ref: T13063/MR)

Notice of Temporary Traffic Order

Grove, Oxford Lane/Sation Road

Prohibition of Right Turn

Date of Order: 20/05/2024

Coming into force: 27/05/2024

This Order is being introduced because of sewer repairs which are anticipated to be completed 7 June 2024.

The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit right turn from Station Road into Oxford Lane. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force.

Exemptions are included for police, fire and ambulance services and for the works.

The alternative route for traffic will be signed locally.

This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. (Ref: T13593/AC)

Notice of Temporary Traffic Order

Watlington Town Centre - Various Roads

Prohibition of Through Traffic and Waiting & One Way Suspension

Date of Order: 13 May 2024

Coming into force: 24 May 2024

This Order is being introduced because of resurfacing of the carriageway and renewing road markings which is anticipated to be completed 7 June 2024. This will operate weekdays between 20:00hrs and 06:00hrs.

The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle proceeding or waiting in sections of the B4009 Britwell Road/B480 Brook Street/B480 Inghams Lane & B4009 Couching Street. The One-Way restriction in Spring Lane will be suspended to allow access to properties. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force.

Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed sections of road.

The alternative route for through traffic is via Stadhampton, Milton Common and Lewknor and vice versa. Local traffic will be diverted locally.

The relevant part of the Oxfordshire County Council (Various Roads, Watlington) (Traffic Regulation) Order 1985 will be suspended to allow two-way traffic to use Spring Lane. This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. (Ref: T13485/AC)

Notice of Temporary Traffic Order

Grove, Main Street

Prohibition of Motor Vehicles

Date of Order: 20/05/2024

Coming into force: 28/05/2024

This Order is being introduced because of carriageway improvement which are anticipated to be completed 10 July 2024.

The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit vehicles proceeding or waiting in Main Street from the A338 Station Road to Denchworth Road roundabout.

1) No Waiting - 28 May to 10 July 2024.

2) Road Closure - 18 June to 10 July 2024. This will operate between 20:00 and 06:00 hours.

Suspension of "No Vehicle Access" on Cane Lane - 18 June 2024 to 10 July 2024 between the hours of 20:00 and 06:00 Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force.

Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road.

The relevant part of the Oxfordshire County Council (Grove) (Denchworth Road and Cane Lane) (Prohibition of Motor Vehicles) Order 2022 shall be temporarily suspended regarding the prohibition on Cane Lane.

Alternative route for traffic is via the A338 and Oxford Lane and vice versa.

This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. (Ref: T13733/AC)

Notice of Temporary Traffic Order

Watlington, Spring Lane

Prohibition of Through Traffic

Date of Order: 28/05/2024

Coming into force: 10/06/2024

This Order is being introduced because of electricity connection works that is anticipated to take 2 weeks to complete.

The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit vehicles proceeding in the Spring Lane (one way road from Hill Road). Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force.

Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road.

Traffic will be diverted via Hill Road - Unnamed Road through Green Field - Howe Hill (B480). But as the section of Hill Road at the junction with Watcombe Lane and the entrance/exit to the car park is one way (right turn only) therefore the diversion for local traffic is via Couching Street - B480 - Spring Lane and vice-versa.

The existing one-way Traffic Signs and No Entry signs will be covered to enable two-way access. No Parking Cones to be installed before start of works.

The relevant part of the Oxfordshire County Council (Various Roads, Watlington) (Traffic Regulation) Order 1985 will be suspended to allow two-way traffic use of the road. This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. (Ref: T13728/MR)

OXFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL

(GORING HEATH PARISH) (SPEED LIMITS) ORDER 20**

NOTICE is given that Oxfordshire County Council proposes to make the above order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers. The effect of the order - in support of road safety issues - is to introduce a 20mph speed limit within the Whitchurch Hill part of Goring Heath, replacing the majority of the existing 30mph speed limit in the process, leading out to the following points:

1. Goring Heath Road - a point 45 metres northeast of its junction with the B471 Whitchurch Road,

2. Hill Bottom - its junction with the B471 Whitchurch Road,

3. Lady Grove - a point 90 metres east of its junction with Goring Heath Road,

4. Orchard Coombe - its junction with the B471 Whitchurch Road,

5. The unnamed link road between the B471 & Goring Heath Road - its junction with the B471 Whitchurch Road.

Additionally, speed limits on the B471 Whitchurch Road will be reduced as follows:

a) 30mph speed limit - in place of the existing 40mph limit, from a point 30 metres north of its junction with Orchard Coombe, south-eastwards to a point 25 metres south of its junction with the access to 'Hillside Cottage', also including a 45 metre section on Goring Heath Road.

b) 40mph speed limit - in place of the existing 50mph limit, from a point 30 metres north of its junction with Orchard Coombe, northwards a point 242 metres south of its junction with B4526, also including a 40 metre section on Coombe End

The Oxfordshire County Council (Goring Heath Parish) (Speed Limits) Order 2023 will be revoked/replaced as necessary. Documents giving more details of the proposals are available for public inspection online by visiting: https://letstalk.oxfordshire.gov.uk. Copies may be made available on request.

Objections to the proposals and other representations specifying the grounds on which they are made may be sent in writing to the address below by the end of 14 June 2024.
