WAKEFIELD COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 –

SECTION 14

(BEXHILL CLOSE, PONTEFRACT)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 99) 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management grounds for gas mains replacement to be carried out as follows:-

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Bexhill Close, Pontefract for approximately 51.68 metres, also from the junction of Cobblers Lane to outside number 56 Bexhill Close. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Bexhill Close.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Bexhill Close, Knottingley Road, Cobblers Lane.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 27th May 2024 to 7th June 2024 and a separate closure on 3rd June 2024 to 14th June 2024, or until completion of the work, whichever is soonest.

Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(SKINNER LANE, PONTEFRACT)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 122) 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds for renewal of level crossing & associated equipment to take place to be carried out as follows:-

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Skinner Lane, Pontefract at the level crossing. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Skinner Lane.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Skinner Lane, De Lacy

Way, Park Road, Front Street, Jubilee Way, Front Street, Stuart Road, Headlands Lane, Skinner Lane & vice versa.

Access not maintained for emergency vehicles.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including

8th June 2024 at 23.00 hours to 1st July 2024 at 06.00 hours, or until completion of the work, whichever is soonest.

Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(LEEDS ROAD, CUTSYKE)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 123) 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds for under track and road works to take place to be carried out as follows:-

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Leeds Road, Cutsyke

at the level crossing. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Leeds Road.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Leeds Road, Aketon Road, Cutsyke Road, Bruce Smeaton Way, Leeds Road & vice versa.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including

8th June 2024 at 23.00 hours to 9th July 2024 at 06.00 hours, or until completion of the work, whichever is soonest.

Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(STATION ROAD, ACKWORTH)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 126) 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds for tree works adjacent to the carriageway to be carried out as follows:-

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Station Road, Ackworth for approximately 70 metres. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Station Road. ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Station Road, Doncaster Road, Rigg Lane, Station Road & vice versa.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 11th June 2024 to 12th June 2024 08.00 hours to 17.00 hours, or until completion of the work, whichever is soonest.

Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(CIVIL ENFORCEMENT AREA)

(WAITING RESTRICTIONS AND STREET PARKING PLACES) (CONSOLIDATION ORDER 2024

ORDER 2016) AMENDMENT NUMBER 1

WAKEFIELD ROAD (PART) &

FITZWILLIAM STREET (PART), KINSLEY

The Council of the City of Wakefield, in exercise of powers conferred by the Road Traffic

Regulation Act 1984 and the Traffic Management Act 2004, has made the above Order, the effect of which in relation to Wakefield Road and Fitzwilliam Street, Kinsley, is to vary the Council of the City of Wakefield (Civil Enforcement Area)

(Waiting Restrictions and Street Parking Places)

(Consolidation Order 2016) by:-

Introducing No Waiting at Any Time restrictions on Wakefield Road (part) and Fitzwilliam Street (part), Kinsley.

The order comes into force on the 30th May 2024. A copy of the Traffic Regulation Order, together with a map showing the affected roads and the Statement of Reasons for proposing to make the Order may be viewed on the website  www.wakefield.gov.uk/tro.

If you wish to question the validity of the Order or any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or on the grounds that any requirements of that Act or of any Instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Order, you may, within six weeks from the date upon which the Order was made (ie 20th May 2024) apply to the High Court for this purpose.
