C164 Hoscar Moss Road, Ivy House Farm - Prohibition of Through Traffic to Allow Level Crossing Servicing Works
What is happening?
LANCASHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL (C164 HOSCAR MOSS ROAD, IVY HOUSE FARM, WEST LANCASHIRE BOROUGH) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Lancashire County Council intend to make an Order under Section 14(1) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic on the roads set out in this notice.
1. No person shall cause any motor vehicle to proceed over that length of C164 Hoscar Moss Road, Ivy House Farm for a distance of 20m either side of Hoscar Level Crossing.
2. Nothing in this order shall apply to persons engaged in the carrying out of the works.
3. The prohibition will be operative from 0020 hours until 0530 hours on Tuesday 4th June 2024 or until completion of the works within this period.
4. Vehicular access for residents will be maintained whenever and wherever possible. Pedestrian access to properties will always be maintained.
5. An alternative route for vehicular traffic affected by the closure is via:-
C164 Hoscar Moss Road, Ivy House Farm – C164 Wanes Blades Road, Lathom – C164 Mains Lane, Bispham – B5246 Hall Lane, Bispham – B5246 Robin Lane, Bispham – B5246 Robin Lane, Hilldale – B5246 Chorley Road, Hilldale – B5246 Chorley Road, Parbold – B5246 Lancaster Lane, Parbold – A5209 Alder Lane, Parbold – A5209 Ash Brow, Newbrugh – A5209 Course Lane, Newburgh – A5209 Lowry Hill Lane, Lathom – A5209 Briars Lane, Lathom – C164 Ring O Bells Lane, Lathom and vice versa.
The temporary prohibition is necessary to allow level crossing servicing works to be carried out by Centurion Site Services on behalf of Network Rail.
