ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1) NOTICE OF TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2024 Long Ashton Bypass, Long Ashton, North Somerset Temporary Prohibition of Use by all Traffic Order 2024 Date coming into force: 17 June 2024 - Ref: Long Ashton Bypass Notice is hereby given that North Somerset Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, intend to make an order the effect of which will be to close, temporarily, to all traffic the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles, and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.
This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by North Somerset Council to allow the removal of diseased ash trees. This will become operative on the 17 June 2024 for a maximum period of 18 months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works in two phases which is anticipated to be between 8pm and 5am Monday to Friday as per the schedule below for a total of 19 days. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force. Schedule - Long Ashton Bypass - the length of Long Ashton Bypass between the junction with the B3130 Clevedon Road and Gurney Roundabout. FINAL NOTICE OF TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDERS 2024 Wild Country Lane, Long Ashton, North Somerset Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2024 Date coming into force: 30 May 2024 - Ref: SW24.25-049
Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles, and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road. This order was required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by ETM Contractors for private tree cutting outside Fenswood Farm. This will become operative on the 30 May 2024 for a maximum period of 18 months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to commence 24 June 2024 and be of 1 day in duration between 7am and 6pm. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Moor Lane, Hutton and West Hill, Portishead, North Somerset Temporary No Loading or Waiting Restriction Order 2024 Date came into force: 1 May 2024 - Ref: BSIP24-01T
Will be to restrict loading and waiting, temporarily, to vehicles on the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services' vehicles, for any North Somerset Council vehicle enforcing the restrictions, and for any vehicle with agreed dispensation from North Somerset Council undertaking road works. The above restriction is necessary for the interest of public safety and the facilitation of bus passage. This order became operative on the 1 May 2024 for a maximum period of 18 months. However, the restrictions may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated, anticipated to be until 1 September 2024. Appropriate lines, traffic signs or cones will be displayed when the measures are in force. Schedule - Moor Lane, Hutton from its junction with Main Road for a maximum distance of 25m in a northerly direction on both sides of the road. West Hill, Portishead from the eastern end of the existing double yellow lines outside 12 West Hill eastwards for a maximum distance of 18m on the northern side of the road. West Hill, Portishead from the western end of the existing double yellow lines outside 77 West Hill westwards for a maximum distance of 3m on the southern side of the road.

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles, Temporary No Loading or Waiting Restriction, Temporary One Way Order 2024 Date coming into force: 25 May 2024 - Ref: SW24.25-024
Will be to restrict, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, for authorised event vehicles, authorised vehicles for enforcement purposes and for public transport and shuttle buses as indicated in the Traffic Management Plan when instructed by event control. Resident Road Closure Pass Holders to be allowed through manned closure points. Resident Pass Holders to be allowed to park in temporary resident parking zones.
This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public and in the interests of safety and as a means of segregating traffic from pedestrians during the events Love Saves the Day (LSTD) and the Bristol International Balloon Fiesta (BIBF) being staged at the Ashton Court Estate in Long Ashton. It is anticipated that the following restrictions will be in effect on the dates and times shown in the schedule below and when indicated by the appropriate traffic signs & cones. It will become operative on the 25 May 2024 in phases for Love Saves the Day and Bristol International Balloon Fiesta for a maximum period of 18 months. However, the closures and restrictions may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the events. Appropriate traffic signs and cones will be displayed when the measures are in force. West End Lane, Nailsea, North Somerset Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2024 Date coming into force: 10 June 2024 - Ref: SW24.25-051
Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles, and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road. This order was required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Wales & West Utilities to lay new service. This will become operative on the 10 June 2024 for a maximum period of 18 months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 4 days in duration. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Hen Lane, Winford, North Somerset Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2024 Date coming into force: 4 June 2024 - Ref: SW24.25-071
Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles, and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road. This order was required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Openreach to replace a pole. This will become operative on the 4 June 2024 for a maximum period of 18 months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 1 day in duration between 10.30am and 4.30pm. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles, and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road. This order was required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Bristol Water to replace lead pipe. This will become operative on the 10 June 2024 for a maximum period of 18 months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 2 days in duration. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.
