Lower Hanger (D5509) Haslemere
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 22 May 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Lower Hanger (D5509) Haslemere which extends from its junction with Woolmer Hill Road to its junction with X5509 Access to Garages off Lower Hanger.
This Order is required to enable South East Water to facilitate water service connection works, which is anticipated to be completed within 4 days, between 8am and 6pm, during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 4 June 2024.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in force 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. Access to premises within the affected length of road will be maintained from either end of the closure. Access for emergency service vehicles will be maintained via the signed diversion route.
Alternative Route – Lower Hanger, Hatchetts Drive, Woolmer Hill Road and vice versa.
Burnt Hill Road (D5300) Lower Bourne
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 22 May 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Burnt Hill Road (D5300) Lower Bourne which extends from its with Blackthorn Close to its junction Black Pond Lane and any parts thereof.
This Order is required to enable South East Water to facilitate water service connection installation and separation of existing supply, which is anticipated to be completed within 4 days, between 8am and 6pm, during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 27 May 2024.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in force 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Access for pedestrians, dismounted cyclists and dismounted equestrians will be maintained at all times. Access to premises within the affected length of road will be maintained at all times and if necessary from either end of the closure.
Due to the nature of the works, access for emergency service vehicles will be maintained via the signed diversion route.
Alternative Route – A287 Frensham Road, B3384 Shortheath Road and vice versa.
Runfold Diversion (A31) Farnham/Tongham and Guildford Road (C119) Runfold
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 22 May 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Order under Section 14(1) and 15(8)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceed in the following lengths of roads:- (a) that length of the westbound carriageway of Runfold Diversion (A31) Farnham/Tongham which extends from its roundabout junction with A31 Shepherd and Flock Roundabout to its junction with the off-slip road leading from A31 Runfold Diversion, Tongham to the roundabout junction situated at or adjacent to the junctions of D4002 Tongham Road Access to Pumping Station, A331 Blackwater Valley Road, A31 Runfold Diversion (westbound on-slip and off-slip) A31 Runfold Diversion (eastbound on-slip and off-slip) hereinafter referred to as the “A331/A31 roundabout junction”; (b) that length of the eastbound carriageway of Runfold Diversion (A31) Runfold/Tongham which extends from its roundabout junction with A31 Shepherd and Flock Roundabout to its junction with the on-slip road leading from the A331/A31 roundabout junction to A31 Runfold Diversion, Tongham; (c) the entire length of the eastbound off-slip road leading from A31 Runfold Diversion to the A331/A31 roundabout junction; (d) the entire length of the westbound on-slip road leading from the A331/A31 roundabout junction to the A31 Runfold Diversion; and (e) that length of Guildford Road (C119) Runfold which extends from its junction with Rock House Lane to its junction with the westbound carriageway of A31 Runfold Diversion. The actual points of closures are anticipated to be carried out/signed as specified in the Schedule.
This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to carry out bridge joint replacement works, including but not limited to: removal of existing joints, resurfacing of bridge deck and installation of new joints and will commence on 24 May 2024 until 19 November 2025 and which continues in force “Surrey County Council Runfold Diversion (A31) Farnham/Tongham and Guildford Road (C119) Runfold Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Notice 2024”.
The works are anticipated to be carried out between 8pm and 6am.
Due to the nature of the works, it will not be possible to maintain access for emergency service vehicles, residents and businesses which will be required to follow the signed diversion route.
The Council are satisfied that, in accordance with Section 3(2)(a) and 3(2)(b) of the Act, vehicular access to and from premises, including emergency service vehicle access, within the length of roads specified or accessible only therefrom may be restricted in order to avoid danger to persons or other traffic using the road and/or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising.
Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner.
Schedule
1. Point Closure 1: that length of the westbound and eastbound carriageway of Runfold Diversion (A31) Farnham, including the westbound off-slip road and eastbound on-slip road of A31 Runfold Diversion, which extends from the A31 Shepherd and Flock Roundabout to the A331/ A31 roundabout junction. Alternative Route – A31 Shepherd and Flock Roundabout, A325 Farnborough Road, A3011 Lynchford Road, A331 Blackwater Valley Route and A31 Runfold Diversion; 2. Point Closure 2:
(a) that length of the eastbound carriageway of Runfold Diversion (A31) Farnham/Tongham, including the eastbound off-slip road of A31 Runfold Diversion, which extends from its roundabout junction with A31 Shepherd and Flock Roundabout to the junction with the eastbound on-slip road leading from A331/A31 roundabout junction to A31 Runfold Diversion, Tongham; (b) that length of westbound carriageway of Runfold Diversion (A31) Farnham/Tongham, including the westbound on-slip road of A31 Runfold Diversion, which extends from its roundabout junction with A31 Shepherd and Flock Roundabout to the junction with the westbound off-slip road leading from A31 Runfold Diversion, Tongham to A331/A31 roundabout junction. Alternative Route – A31 Runfold Diversion off-slip road (westbound), A331 Blackwater Valley Route (northbound), A3011 Lynchford Road, A325 Farnborough Road and A31 Shepherd and Flock Roundabout; 3. Point Closure 3: that length of the westbound carriageway of Runfold Diversion (A31) Farnham, including the westbound on-slip road of A31 Runfold Diversion, which extends from its roundabout junction with A31 Shepherd and Flock Roundabout to the junction with the A331/A31 roundabout junction. Alternative Route – A331 Blackwater Valley Route (northbound), A3011 Lynchford Road, A325 Farnborough Road and A31 Shepherd and Flock Roundabout; 4. Point Closure 4: (a) that length of the westbound carriageway of Runfold Diversion (A31) Farnham/Tongham which extends from its roundabout junction with A31 Shepherd and Flock Roundabout to the junction with the westbound off-slip road leading from A31 Runfold Diversion, Tongham to A331/A31 roundabout junction; and (b) that length of Guildford Road (C119) Runfold which extends from its junction with Rock House Lane to its junction with the westbound carriageway of A31 Runfold Diversion. Alternative Route – C119 Guildford Road/Hogs Back/The Street, left onto A31 Runfold Diversion slip on, then join main diversion via A331, A3011 and A325.
Gardeners Hill Road (D115) Wrecclesham
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to:- (a) prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Gardeners Hill Road (D115) Wrecclesham which extends from its junction with Frensham Court northwards for a distance of 170m; and (b) suspend “Surrey County Council Gardeners Hill Road (D115) Lower Bourne/Wrecclesham Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023” insofar as it relates to Gardeners Hill Road (D115) Wrecclesham only.
This Order is required to enable BT Openreach to facilitate pole replacement works and/or cabling works, which is anticipated to be completed within 1 day, between 8.30am and 3.30pm, during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 11 June 2024.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in force 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Access for pedestrians, dismounted cyclists and dismounted equestrians will be maintained at all times. Access to premises within the affected length of road will be maintained at all times and if necessary from either end of the closure.
Due to the nature of the works, access for emergency service vehicles will be maintained via the signed diversion route.
Alternative Route – Gardeners Hill Road, Longdown Road, Burnt Hill Road, Frensham Road and Frensham Vale or vice versa.

Public Footpath 49 (Dockenfield) & Public Footpath 49a (Dockenfield) Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 30 May 2024 Surrey County Council will make the above-mentioned temporary order, the effect of which is to prohibit all traffic on foot or by any other means from entering or proceeding along that length of Public Footpath 49 (Dockenfield) which extends for about 205 metres in a north-easterly direction from a point 45 metres north-east of its junction with High Thicket Road (Grid ref: 481908 140389), and that length of Public Footpath 49a (Dockenfield) which extends for about 15 metres in a northerly direction from its junction with Public Footpath 49 (Dockenfield).
The Order is necessary by reason of danger to the public due to excavation works being carried out on the highway.
The closure will be in operation for a period twelve days, from 03 June 2024 until 14 June 2024, or until completion of the works, if earlier. That period can be extended by the Secretary of State for Transport if required.
The temporary closure will only be in operation when appropriate road traffic signs are displayed on site by the County Council or an authorised person acting on its behalf. Access to properties will not be affected.
There is no alternative route.
“The Surrey County Council Public Footpath 49 (Dockenfield) and Public Footpath 49a (Dockenfield) Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024” will be made by the County Council under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Public Bridleway 101 & 110 (Thursley) and 110c (Peper Harow) Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 30 May 2024 Surrey County Council will make the above mentioned temporary order, the effect of which is to prohibit all traffic on foot or by any other means from entering or proceeding along Public Bridleways 101 & 110 (Thursley) and 110c (Peper Harow) from grid ref: 489991 140685 heading east for 1600 metres to Grid ref: 491535 140827.
The Order is necessary in the interest of public safety due vehicle and horse movements in the vicinity in relation to filming taking place. The closure will be in operation for a period of 12 days from 3 June 2024 or until completion of the works, if earlier. That period can be extended by the Secretary of State for Transport if required.
The temporary closure will only be in operation when appropriate road traffic signs are displayed on site by the County Council or an authorised person acting on its behalf. Access to properties will not be affected.
There is no alternative route.
‘The Surrey County Council Public Bridleways 101 & 110 (Thursley) and 110c (Peper Harow) Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024’ will be made by the County Council under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
