What is happening?

CUMBERLAND COUNCIL

(U4226 TODHOLES ROAD, CLEATOR MOOR AND U4016 ARLECDON)

(TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable utility works to be carried out ("the Works"), Cumberland Council has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along the following sections of road:

1. U4226 Todholes Road, Cleator Moor, from a point approx. 30 m south west of its junction with the entrance to St Patrick's Catholic Primary School, extending in a south westerly direction for approx. 50m.

There is no suitable alternative route available for vehicles.

Duration: From 28 May 2024 for approx. 2 days (Ref: TTROC/10663)

2. U4016 Arlecdon, from a point approx. 210m south west of its junction with the U4017, extending in a south westerly direction for approx. 80m.

Alternative Route: via the unrestricted sections of the U4016, U4017, A5086 and U4013.

Duration: From 10 June 2024 for approx. 2 days (Ref: TTROC/10860)

A way for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times.

The Order will come into operation on 28 May 2024 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restrictions will only be required as detailed above, and only as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.
