Eastern Road Roundabout - Temporary Road Closure

Portsmouth City Council (Eastern Road Roundabout) (Temporary Road Closure) (Temporary Prohibition of Loading and Waiting) (No.59) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that Portsmouth City Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991.
The Order comes into operation from 28th May 2024 and the effect will be as follows:
A) TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE AND PROHIBITION OF LOADING AND WAITING
EASTERN ROAD ROUNDABOUT
In its entirety.

EASTERN ROAD
From its junction with Anchorage Road to Eastern Road Roundabout.
From its junction with Walton Road to Eastern Road Roundabout.
B) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF LEFT TURN
ANCHORAGE ROAD
Into Eastern Road.
C) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF RIGHT TURN
WALTON ROAD
Into Eastern Road.
Eastern Road Access Road Leading To Kendalls Wharf
Into Eastern Road.
D) REASON FOR THE ORDER
To facilitate carriageway resurfacing works.
E) DURATION OF THE ORDER
From 28th May 2024 to 11th June 2024 or completion of the works, whichever is sooner. Notwithstanding the above, works will take place overnight between Monday - Saturday 21:00 - 06:00.
F) DIVERSION
Vehicles will be diverted from:
Anchorage Road, Robinson Way, Airport Service Road, Williams Road, Norway
Road, Copnor Road, Old London Road, London Road, Portsbridge Roundabout, Northern Road, Medina Road, Spur Road, Havant Road, Eastern Road and Bedhampton Roundabout, A27 Southbound, Havant Bypass Westbound On Slip, A27.
Eastern Road, Havant Road, Spur Road, Northern Road, Portsbridge Roundabout, London Road, Copnor Road, Norway Road, Williams Road, Airport Service Road, Robinson Way, Anchorage Road and Eastern Road, Havant Road, Bedhampton Roundabout, A27 South Bound, Havant Bypass West Bound On Slip, A27.

Pedestrian access will be maintained around the works.
