Public Notices for Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders
The following public notices shall be served on Thursday 23rd May 2024:
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Milton Keynes City Council intends, to make the following traffic regulation Orders under Section 14(1), 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984:
PUBLIC NOTICE 1:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (CRANFIELD ROAD AND LOWER END ROAD (PARTS) WOBURN SANDS) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2024 (Reference: TTRO-1963)
the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from entering, waiting or proceeding along the following length of road to allow National Grid to carryout cabling works:
10th – 28th June 2024 (24 hours)
Cranfield Road, Woburn Sands – From its junction with Crow Lane to its junction with Ridgeway.
Whilst the above length of road is closed the alternative route will be via Newport Road and Lower End Road (and vice versa).
1st - 12th July 2024 (24 hours)
Lower End Road, Woburn Sands – From its junction with Cranfield Road to outside number 28.
Whilst the above length of road is closed the alternative route will be via Newport Road and Cranfield Road (and vice versa).
PUBLIC NOTICE 2:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (MARKET PLACE, OLNEY) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2024 (Reference: TTRO-1944)
for the purpose of facilitating the holding of a relevant event, which is being promoted by Robert Benbow, namely the 2024 ‘Motorama’, the effect of which is to temporarily prohibit all vehicular access along the southern and eastern sides of Market Place, Olney. It is anticipated that the closure will be in operation on Sunday 9th June 2024 between 7.00am and 6:00pm. Whilst this closure is in effect the alternative route for all traffic will be High Street, Holes Lane, East Street and Silver End, Olney and vice versa. The closure will only be in effect when the appropriate signs are in place. Barriers at the entry points will be staffed at all times by Stewards to facilitate access.

MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (PARTS OF FRITHWOOD CRESCENT AND CROWBOROUGH LANE, KENTS HILL) (TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ORDER 2024 (Reference: TTRO-1946)
the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from waiting or loading along parts of Frithwood Crescent and Crowborough Lane, Kents Hill – From its junction with Sweetland Corner to its junction with Hartfield Close, whilst the MK Wanderers Community Football Event takes place.
PUBLIC NOTICE 4:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (BOW BRICKHILL TO LITTLE BRICKHILL ROAD, MILTON KEYNES) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2024 (Reference: TTRO-1964)
the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles and pedestrians from entering, waiting or proceeding along the following parts of road to allow Openreach to safely undertake test rod works: 5th and 6th June 2024 (09:30am – 4:30pm) Bow Brickhill to Little Brickhill Road – from its junction with Road C20 to the highway jurisdiction border with Central Bedfordshire. Whilst the above closure is in place, the alternative route will be via A5 and Sheep Lane (and vice versa).
PUBLIC NOTICE 5:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (FULMER STREET H5 TO H6 (PART), SHENLEY CHURCH END) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2024 (Reference: TTRO-1970)
the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles and pedestrians from entering, waiting or proceeding along the following parts of road to allow Hutchinson 3G to undertake maintenance and upgrade works to telecommunications equipment: 3rd June 2024 (08:00am – 6:00pm) Fulmer Street (northbound carriageway only) – from its junction with Childs Way to its junction with Chalkdell Drive. Whilst the above closure is in place, the alternative route will be via Childs Way, Watling Street and Portway.
PUBLIC NOTICE 6:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (VARIOUS ROADS IN KINGSTON, HANSLOPE, WESTON UNDERWOOD AND BLETCHLEY) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2024 (Reference: TTRO-1941)
the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles and pedestrians from entering, waiting or proceeding along the following parts of road in order to enable Anglian Water to carry out connection works and Maintenance works.
from 17th June 2024 – 21st June 2024 (24 Hours).
Water Eaton Road, Bletchley – at its junction with Lamb Sidings.
Whilst the above length of road is closed the alternative route will be via Queensway, Duncombe Street (and vice versa).
3rd June 2024 – 5th June 2024 (24 Hours).
High Street, Weston Underwood – Outside White Cottage.
Whilst the above length of road is closed the alternative route will be via Ravenstone Mill Road To Weston Underwood, Ravenstone Mill Road To B526, Newport Road Gayhurst, Filgrave To Gayhurst Road, Newport Road, Emberton, Weston Road (and vice versa).
17th June 2024 – 19th June 2024 (24 Hours)
Hartwell Road, Hanslope – Opposite Folly Farmhouse.
Whilst the above length of road is closed the alternative route will be via Forest Road, Eakley Lanes, High Street Stoke Goldington, Newport Road, Hanslope Road, Hanslope Park Road, Newport Way, Newport Road, Gold Street and Hartwell Road (and vice versa).
6th June 2024 (Between 9:30am and 4:30pm)
Chippenham Drive, Kingston – Near junction of Lasborough Road.
Whilst the above length of road is closed the alternative route will be via Mandeville Drive, Countess Way and Newport Road (and vice versa).
PUBLIC NOTICE 7:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (COACHWAY ROAD, COACHWAYS) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2024 (Reference: TTRO-1989)
the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles and pedestrians from entering, waiting or proceeding along the following part of road to allow HVSS to carry out Excavation and installation for dual 33kV circuit, as Part of a main scheme from Milton Keynes East to Bletchley, Access for plant and machinery to undertake Horizonal Directional Drill under M1 J14. 3rd June 2024 – 30th August 2024 (24 Hours) Coachway Road, Coachways – From its junction with A509 Portway to entrance to barrier for existing DVLA area. Whilst the above closure is in place the alternative route will be via Coachway Road and Newport Road / Fen Street (and vice versa).
PUBLIC NOTICE 8:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (HIGH STREET AND UNION STREET, NEWPORT PAGNELL) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE AND RESTRICTION) ORDER 2024 (Reference: TTRO-1883)
The relevant event is the community event known as the Newport Pagnell Vintage Event which is to take place on Saturday 1st June 2024. The effect of the order will be to temporarily close part of High Street, Newport Pagnell from its junction with Cedars Way to its junction with St Johns Street. The closures will come into effect between the hours of 7.30am and 7.30pm on Saturday 1st June 2024. Whilst the closure is in effect on the High Street, Newport Pagnell the alternative route will be via Ousebank Street, Riverside, Marsh End Road, Willen Road, A422 Monks Way, Tickford Street and St Johns Street (and vice versa). Whilst the closure is in effect on the High Street, Newport Pagnell, the one-way traffic restriction on Union Street will be suspended in order to allow two-way traffic flow, so that residents can gain access to and egress from Union Street at its junction with North Square.
PUBLIC NOTICE 9:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (HIGH STREET (PART), STONY STRATFORD) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE AND RESTRICTION) ORDER 2024 (Reference: TTRO-1948)
for the purpose of facilitating the holding of the Stony Stratford Classic Car and Motorcycle Festival which is being promoted by Mr Ray Cobley of Stony Stratford, to make an Order under Section 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit all vehicles from proceeding along that length of High Street, Stony Stratford from its junction with Church Street to its junction with Wolverton Road. The one-way traffic restriction in New Street, Stony Stratford shall be temporarily suspended to allow a two-way traffic flow whilst the High Street closures are in operation. It is anticipated that the above restrictions will be in operation as follows: -
The Day of Dance and Street Entertainment – Saturday 1st June 2024 between the hours of 9:00am and 5:00pm.
The Stony Stratford Classic Car and Motorcycle Festival – Sunday 2nd June 2024 between the hours of 8.00am and 4.00pm
The alternative routes for traffic for both events will be via Church Street, Silver Street and Horsefair Green, and vice versa.

PUBLIC NOTICE 10:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (NEWPORT ROAD (PART), WOBURN SANDS) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2024 (Reference: TTRO-1927)
The effect of the above Order will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along the following part of roads. Newport Road, Woburn Sands – From its junction with Bellway to its junction with Parkway. Whilst the above length of road is closed the alternative route will be via Cranfield Road, Lower End Road (and vice versa). The above closure will take place at 4:30pm 2nd June 2024 – 6:00am 3rd June 2024 and at 4:30pm 9th June 2024 – 6:00am 10th June 2024 or until the said works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. to allow Gigaclear to carryout core drill works into manhole:
PUBLIC NOTICE 11:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (GALLEY HILL AND REDWAY GA02 (PARTS), STONY STRATFORD) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2024 (Reference: TTRO-1981)
The effect of the above Order will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along the following part of Redway. Galley Hill, Stony Stratford – From its junction with Roveley Court to its junction with Cottesloe Court. The above closure will take place over 2 phases Roveley Court for 50 metres in an easterly direction and then Cottesloe Court for 126 metres in a south-westerly direction. Whilst the above lengths of road is closed the alternative route will be via Queen Eleanor Street and Ridgeway (and vice versa).
Redway GA02 – 60 Metres of Redway between Bunsty Court and Galley Hill. Whilst the above length of Redway is closed the alternative route will be along the footpath running parallel to Galley Hill. 25th May – 7th June 2024 (24 hours). to allow Network Power Connections to undertake the installation of a LV Cable:
PUBLIC NOTICE 12:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (REDWAY LN02 (PART), LOUGHTON) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2024 (Reference: TTRO-1987)
The effect of the above Order will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along the following part of Redway. Redway LN02, Loughton from its junction with The Pavilion, for 25 metres in a north easterly direction.The diversion route will be the footpath running parallel on the opposite side of the Linceslade Grove carriageway. In the interest of public safety and to enable Global Utility Connections to lay ducting electric charging stations. The temporary closure Order will come into effect on 27th May 2024 and works should complete by 31st May 2024 (24 Hour closure)
PUBLIC NOTICE 13:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (FURZTON ROUNDABOUT, FULMER STREET AND CHAFFRON WAY (PARTS), MILTON KEYNES) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2024 (Reference: TTRO-1973)
The effect of the above Order will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along the following part of roads. Chaffron Way – from its junction with Egerton Gate to its junction with Hawkshead Drive. Fulmer Street – from its junction with Cressey Avenue to its junction with Loxbeare Drive. Whilst the above closures are in place Furzton Roundabout will be closed, the alternative route will be via Childs Way, Tattenhoe Street, Standing Way and Watling Street (and vice versa). to allow O2 UK to install a new pole for telecommunications equipment. 28th May – 1st June 2024 (20:00 – 05:00).

MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (WILLEN ROAD NORTH AND SOUTH, TONGWELL LANE AND A422 MONKS WAY NEWPORT PAGNELL) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2024 (Reference: TTRO-1982)
The effect of the above Order will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along the following part of roads. 28th May 2024 – 1st June 2024 (Winvic Drainage Works) Willen Road (South), Newport Pagnell (Between 10:00pm and 6:00am each night) From its junction with A422 Monks Way to its junction with Tongwell Roundabout. Whilst the closure is in place the alternative route will be via Dansteed Way, Brickhill Street and A422 Monks Way. 3rd June 2024 – 21st June 2024 (Vodafone and City Fibre Telecoms Diversion Works) Willen Road (North), Newport Pagnell (Between 10:00pm and 6:00am each night) From its junction with A422 Monks Way to its junction with Tongwell Lane. Whilst the closure is in place the alternative route will be via Marsh End Road, High Street, Tickford Street, London Road and A422 Monks Way. NO RIGHT TURN FROM WILLEN ROAD NORTH OR SOUTH. LIKELY TO BE FROM AUGUST FOR APPROXIMATELY 6 MONTHS. 28th May 2024 – 28th May 2025 (if required) Tongwell Lane, Newport Pagnell Entire Length. to allow Winvic, City Fibre and Vodafone to carryout drainage, and telecoms diversion works.
PUBLIC NOTICE 15:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (DAUBENEY GATE (PART) SHENLEY CHURCH END) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2024 (Reference: TTRO-1953)
The effect of the above Order will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along the following part of roads. Daubeney Gate, Shenley Church End – from its junction with Portway for a distance of 110 metres in a southeastern direction. Whilst the above closures are in place, the alternative route will be via Portway, Knapp Gate, Engaine Drive and Vache Lane (and vice versa) 28th May – 21st June 2024 (24 hours) to allow essential development works to be undertaken:
