What is happening?

North Yorkshire Council,

Temporary Prohibition of Traffic, London Road, Barkston Ash, Order 2024, No. 140 We have made this Order to prohibit any vehicle from using London Road, Barkston Ash for a temporary period (subject to access to premises) between 26/05/24 & 03/06/24, due to bridge works. However, the max duration of this Order is until 31/07/24. The closure period will be indicated by traffic signs & a local alternative route will be signed on site where appropriate. Temporary Prohibition of Pedestrians, Public Footpath 35.71/1/1 Stubbs Walden, Order 2024, No. 166 We intend to make this order to prohibit any pedestrian from using the Public Footpath 35.71/1/1 in the Parish of Stubbs Walden, between grid reference SE54301681 & SE55021692 for a temporary period of 6 months (subject to access to premises) between 08/06/24 & 07/12/24, to ensure public safety when works are being carried out at the foot crossing. The closure period will be indicated by traffic signs & a local alternative route will be signed on site where appropriate. Prohibition of Waiting & Loading & Provision of Parking, Amendment No Tbc , Order 2024 Notice is hereby given that The North Yorkshire Council proposes to make an Order under Sections 1(1), 2(1) to (3), 4(2), 32(1) & 35(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 & Part IV of Schedule 9 to the 1984 Act & under the Traffic Management Act 2004, the effect of which will be to amend “North Yorkshire Council (Prohibition of Waiting & Loading & Provision of Parking) (District of Selby ) Consolidation Order 2013” by introducing the restrictions specified:- Waiting Prohibited At All Times With Exemptions Tadcaster, Station Road, North East side of road from 90m south east into Station Road from the main Station Road to 23m east around the junction. Tadcaster, Station Road, Southeast side of road from 126m south east into Station Road from the main Station Road to 23m north east around the junction. A copy of the draft Order, together with a map showing the roads affected & a statement of the Council's reasons for proposing to make the Order may be inspected at County Hall, Northallerton & at Tadcaster Library, 8 Station Road, Tadcaster, LS24 9JG during normal office hours from 23/05/24 until 14/06/24 & also viewed online at www.northyorks.gov.uk/roadworks-map
