What is happening?

SUFFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984: SECTION 14

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C626 ICKNIELD WAY, LACKFORD

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the C626 Icknield Way, Lackford from 400 metres east of the junction with The Street for 100 metres eastbound to facilitate telecommunications pole and cable renewal works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be the A1101, Risby Road, Flempton Road, The Green, the road from the district boundary to the C629 and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate on 21/05/2024 from 9.30am - 3.30pm but, If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister). Enquiries should be made to Sunbelt Rentals. Tel: 0370 050 0792.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U5139 ELLENBROOK ROAD.

C453 ELLENBROOK ROAD AND STOKE PARK DRIVE, IPSWICH AND PINEWOOD

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the following roads:

• the U5139 Ellenbrook Road, Ipswich and Pinewood from Belmont Road to Ellenbrook Road, Pinewood

• the C453 Ellenbrook Road, Pinewood

• the C453 Stoke Park Drive, Ipswich from Ellenbrook Road to Belstead Road.

This Is to facilitate road markings works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Belstead Road. Girton Way, Cambridge Drive, Birkfield Drive, Mallard Way, Hawthorn Drive, Bridgwater Road, Ellenbrook Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 7.30pm on 30/05/2024 - 5am on 31/05/2024 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE 117126 HALL ROAD, GREAT BRADLEY

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the U7126 Hall Road, Great Bradley from 200 metres southeast of St Marys Church for 300 metres south eastbound to facilitate telecommunications pole testing. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Hall Road, Great Bradley, the B1061, the A143, Hawbush Road, Pound Green, Erratts Hill, Queen Street, Bradley Road, Hall Road, Bradley and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate on 21/05/2024 from 9:30am - 3:30pm, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U3422 BLAKES LANE, DALLINGHOO

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the U3422 Blakes Lane, Dallinghoo from the junction with Potash Farm Road for 145 metres eastbound to facilitate replacing a water chamber and cover. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists. The diversion route will be Potash Farm Road, Whitehouse Farm Road, Shop Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 21/05/2024 -23/05/2024 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U5943 ASHFIELD ROAD, NORTON

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the U5943 Ashfield Road, Norton from Little Owl Lodge for 30 metres south westbound to facilitate a new water connection. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be the Ashfield Road, ElmswelL Station Road, The Street, New Road, Church Road, the A1088 and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate on 30/05/2024 from 8am - 6pm but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY 30MPH SPEED RESTRICTION ON PART OF THE A140 NORWICH ROAD, CREETING ST MARY

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order for a temporary 30mph speed restriction on the A140 Norwich Road, Creeting St Mary from the junction with Bucks Head Lane to the junction with Needham Road to facilitate repairs to the safety camera site. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

It is intended that this measure will operate from 9pm on 30/05/2024 - 5am on 31/05/2024 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister). Enquiries should be made to Lochwynd Limited. Tel: 0141 781 4477.

AND ON-STREET PARKING PLACES) (CONSOLIDATION) ORDER 2019

(BOROUGH OF IPSWICH) (NACTON ROAD) (A1189)

(ELMHURST DRIVE) (U2011) (PROHIBITION OF WAITING)

(VARIATION NO. 38) ORDER 202-

Suffolk County Council proposes to make the above order under Sections 1, 2, 4 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 which would substitute revision 1 of Map Tiles GN125 and GN126 in place of revision 0 of the same Map Tiles into the above-named 2019 order, as amended. The effect of this would be to introduce 'no waiting at any time' on:

• Nacton Road (A1189), Ipswich, on the southwest side from a point 29m south of its junction with Felixstowe Road (A1156) for a distance of 367m in a south easterly direction.

• Elmhurst Drive (U2001) on both sides from its junction with Nacton Road for a distance of 10m in a south westerly direction.

Exemptions to the waiting restrictions allow a vehicle to wait for so long as is necessary to board or alight or to load and unload for building, industrial or demolition works; for emergency services; for the maintenance of the road or its services and to fulfil statutory duties. The usual exemptions for Blue Badge holders will apply.

Copies of the draft order, map showing the roads affected and the Council's reasons for the proposals, may be seen with advance notice at the address below, 9am - 5pm Monday - Friday; also at Ipswich County Library, Northgate Street, Ipswich IP1 3DE, 9am - 6pm Monday; 9am - 7pm Tuesday; 9am - 6pm Wednesday and Thursday; 9am - 7pm Friday; 8.30am - 5pm Saturday; and 10am-4pm Sunday.

Objections and any other representations relating to these proposals, specifying the grounds on which they are made, must reach Alicia Webster, Suffolk County Council Legal Services at the address below or at: alicia.webster@suffolk.gov.uk no later than 11/06/2024.
