Essex, Multiple Temporary Road Closures and Traffic Restrictions due to Works.
What is happening?

(Dead Lane, Lawford/Mistley)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Dead Lane, Lawford/Mistley in the District of Tendring, from the junction with Bromley Road to the junction with Clacton Road a distance of approximately 1115m.
The closure is scheduled to commence on 10th June 2024 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP02231010773 - Rose Builders Ltd). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while site entrance construction works are undertaken by Rose Builders Ltd.
An alternative route is available via Bromley Road, Wignall Street, Long Road, Clacton Road and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 24th May 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic & Temporary Introduction of a Clearway)
(No.9) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order:
1. To temporarily close those lengths of road in the District of Tendring as specified in the Schedule.
2. A temporary 'No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping' restriction will be introduced on both sides of the carriageway on the above lengths of road, for the duration of the closures to facilitate the works. Signs will be installed indicating when the No Waiting restriction will be in force.
"The Essex County Council (Tendring District) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019" will be temporarily amended to include the temporary 'No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping at Any Time" restriction and suspend any existing parking and waiting restrictions on the above lengths of roads only. All other restrictions and exemptions contained in the aforementioned Order and Amendments to that Order shall remain in force.
The works being undertaken will take place within an 18-month period from 24th May 2024, exact dates will be specified on one.network. The roads will be closed to facilitate each phase of works and then re-opened to the public. Access will be maintained for emergency services. Diversion routes will be signed at each location and residents will be informed of the dates of each phase via letter/leaflet drop and advanced warning signs on the road.

Description: High Street to the junction with Red Barn Lane a distance of approximately 795m.
Alternative Route: B1414, B1033, B1035, A120, B1352, B1414 and vice versa.
Road: Wix Road, Great Oakley
Description: From the junction with The Avenue to the junction with Beaumont Road a distance of approximately 263m.
Alternative Route: Oakley Road, Harwich Road, Colchester Road, A120, B1035, B1033, B1414 and vice versa.
Road: Pesthouse Lane, Great Oakley
Description: From its junction with Beaumont Road to its junction with Farm Road a distance of approximately 530m.
Alternative Route: Access only from Farm Road and High Street.
