NOTICE is given that Cambridgeshire County Council intends after seven days, to make an Order pursuant to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, the effect of which:

High Street (C233), Cambridge
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-659

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along High Street (C233), Cambridge as lies between Railway Street and Fernlea Close.

The alternative route for vehicles is via Teversham Drift (C233) – Cherry Hinton Road (C233), Teversham – Gazelle Way – Yarrow Road – Yarrow Road, Fulbourn – Fulbourn Road, Cambridge and vice versa.

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate signal refurbishment, carriageway, footway works and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 22 July 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 21 January 2026 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 22 July and 30 August 2024.

High Green, Great Shelford
(TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF CYCLE LANE) ORDER 2024-662

Will be to temporarily suspend the cycle lane on High Green, Great Shelford as lies between Maris Green and Davey Crescent.

During the period this Order remains in force The County of Cambridgeshire (Cambridge Road and High Green, Great Shelford) (Mandatory with-flow Cycle Lane) Order 1993, Schedule – Lengths of road or sides of road in the District of South Cambridgeshire Parish of Great Shelford, Mandatory with-flow Cycle Lane, High Green – Northeast side, from its junction with Cambridge Road, Great Shelford, to its junction with Maris Green, Great Shelford, – Southwest side, from its junction with Maris Green, Great Shelford, to its junction with Cambridge Road, Great Shelford is hereby suspended.

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate sluice valve repair and associated works which are being carried out on or near the cycle lane and it will come into operation on 11 June 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 10 December 2025 whichever is the earlier.

This Order shall be in force when the signs are in place at each end of the above section of road whilst works taking place on High Green, Great Shelford are in progress. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 11 June and 13 June 2024.

Mill Lane, Linton
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-665

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Mill Lane, Linton as lies between numbers 11 and 40.

The alternative route for vehicles is via B1052 – A1307 – Bartlow Road – High Street.

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate disconnection of water supply and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 3 June 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 2 December 2025 whichever is the earlier.

It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 3 June and 5 June 2024.

Mill Green, Shudy Camps
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-668

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Mill Green, Shudy Camps as lies between Shardelows Farm and Lark Rise.

The alternative route for vehicles is via Nosterfield End – Burton End, Haverhill – A1017 – A1307 – Horseheath Green, Horseheath – Cardinals Green and vice versa.

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate remove and replace overhead lines, pole and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 4 June 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 3 December 2025 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 09:00hrs and 16:00hrs 4 June 2024.

Sawston Bypass (A1301), Pampisford
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-678

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Sawston Bypass (A1301), Pampisford as lies between Cambridge Road and the A505.

The alternative route for vehicles is via A1301 – A1309 – A1134 – A1307 – A11 – A505 and vice versa.

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate lining and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 3 June 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 2 December 2025 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 21:00hrs 3 June and 05:00hrs 4 June 2024.

Access Road to Spicers from A1301, Sawston
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-681

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Access Road to Spicers from A1301, Sawston as lies between points 20m either side of the railway level crossing situated there as measured from its gates or barriers.

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate essential maintenance works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 19 June 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 18 December 2025 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out overnight between 00:01hrs and 04:30hrs 19 June 2024.

Hulatt Road to Mowbray Road, Cambridge
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE) ORDER 2024-686

Is to stop any pedestrian from proceeding along Hulatt Road to Mowbray Road, Cambridge as lies between Mowbray Road and Hulatt Road.

The alternative route for pedestrians will be as signed.

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate gas main replacement and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 10 June 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 9 December 2024 whichever is the earlier.

It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 10 June and 28 June 2024.

Silver Street, Cambridge
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-692

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Silver Street, Cambridge as lies between Queens Lane and Trumpington Street.

The alternative route for vehicles is via Trumpington Street (C294) – Trumpington Street (C296) – A1134.

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate electrical connection and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 18 June 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 17 December 2025 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 20:00hrs 18 June to 05:00hrs 19 June 2024.

Cambridge Road (A10), Foxton
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-695

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Cambridge Road (A10), Foxton as lies between points 20m either side of the railway level crossing situated there as measured from its gates or barriers.

The alternative route for vehicles is via A10 – A1309 – A1301 – A505 – A10 and vice versa.

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate essential maintenance works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 21 June 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 20 December 2025 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out overnight between 00:01hrs and 04:30hrs 21 June 2024.

Hills Road (A1307), Cambridge
(TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF CYCLE LANE) ORDER 2024-696

Will be to temporarily suspend the cycle lane on Hills Road (A1307), Cambridge as lies between Francis House and the War Memorial. During the period this Order remains in force The City of Cambridge Area A (Consolidation) Order 1993, Schedule 23 – Cycle Lanes, Part 2 – Mandatory with flow cycle lane, Hills Road – On its west side from a point 13m north of its junction with Brooklands Avenue to a point 70m south of its junction with Bateman Street is hereby suspended.

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate gas connection and associated works which are being carried out on or near the cycle lane and it will come into operation on 17 June 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 16 December 2025 whichever is the earlier.

This Order shall be in force when the signs are in place at each end of the above section of road whilst works taking place on Hills Road (A1307), Cambridge are in progress. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 17 June and 21 June 2024.

Clarendon Road, Cambridge
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-699

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Clarendon Road, Cambridge as lies between Clarendon House and Brooklands Avenue.

The alternative route for vehicles is via Fitzwilliam Road – Shaftesbury Road – Brooklands Avenue and vice versa.

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate tower crane dismantle and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 1 June 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 30 November 2025 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 1 June and 2 June 2024.

Mowbray Road (A1134), Cambridge
(TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF CYCLE LANE) ORDER 2024-706

Will be to temporarily suspend the cycle lane on Mowbray Road (A1134), Cambridge as lies between Queen Ediths Way and Cherry Hinton Road. During the period this Order remains in force The City of Cambridge Area F (Consolidation) Order 1993 (Amendment No. 2) Order 1994, 6. The Order of 1993 shall be amended and have effect as though the following addition was made to schedule 23 (cycle lane) Part 2 (Mandatory with flow cycle lane). Mowbray Road, On both sides of the carriageway from its junction with Cherry Hinton Road to its junction with Queen Edith’s Way is hereby suspended.

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate gas main replacement and associated works which are being carried out on or near the cycle lane and it will come into operation on 3 June 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 2 December 2025 whichever is the earlier.

This Order shall be in force when the signs are in place at each end of the above section of road whilst works taking place on Mowbray Road (A1134), Cambridge are in progress. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 3 June and 9 August 2024.

Huntingdon Road, Girton
(TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF BUS LANE) ORDER 2024-708

Will be to temporarily suspend the bus lane as lies between Orchard Drive and Grange Drive.

During the period this Order remains in force CCC (Huntingdon Road, Girton) (Bus/Cycle Lane, Prohibition of Waiting and Loading) Order 1998. Save as provided in articles 4 and 5 no person shall, except upon the direction or with the permission of a police officer in uniform or a traffic warden, cause or permit any motor vehicle to enter, proceed on or wait on the bus/cycle lane marked on the roads or parts of road specified in Schedule 1.

Schedule 1 – Lengths of road and sides of road in the District of South Cambridgeshire, Parish of Girton, Huntingdon Road – the northeast side from a point 112 metres northwest of its junction with Girton Road in a north-westerly direction to its junction with the eastern side of the slip road to the eastbound carriageway of the Trunk Road A14 Cambridge Northern Bypass is hereby suspended.

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate telecommunications and associated works which are being carried out on or near the bus lane and it will come into operation on 17 June 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 16 December 2025 whichever is the earlier.

This Order shall be in force when the signs are in place at each end of the above section of road whilst works taking place on Huntingdon Road, Girton are in progress. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 17 June to 19 June 2024.

Sturton Street, Cambridge
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-711

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Sturton Street, Cambridge as lies between Young Street and Petworth Street.

The alternative route for vehicles is via New Street – St Matthews Street – Petworth Street and vice versa.

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate root barrier and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 3 June 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 2 December 2025 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 3 June to 14 June 2024.

Station Road, Shepreth
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-712

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Station Road, Shepreth as lies between number 29 and Barrington Road.

The alternative route for vehicles is via Barrington Road – Shepreth Road, Barrington – West Green – High Street – Haslingfield Road – Chapel Hill – Chapel Hill, Haslingfield – Church Street – High Street – Harston Road – Haslingfield Road – Church Street, Harston – A10 – Fowlmere Road, Shepreth .

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate carriageway, footway, cycleway improvements and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 3 June 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 2 December 2025 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 3 June to 11 June 2024.

High Street (C282), Milton
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-714

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along High Street (C282), Milton as lies between numbers 1 and 7.

The alternative route for vehicles is via High Street – Landbeach Road – A10 – Cambridge Road and vice versa.

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate sewer connection and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 3 June 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 2 December 2025 whichever is the earlier.

It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 3 June to 14 June 2024.

Barton Road, Comberton
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-716

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Barton Road, Comberton as lies between Woottens Close and Comberton Footpath 5.

The alternative route for vehicles is via B1046 – A603 – A1198 – B1046 and vice versa.

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate electrical connection and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 3 June 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 2 December 2025 whichever is the earlier.

It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 3 June to 5 June 2024.

Longstanton Road, Oakington
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-720

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Longstanton Road, Oakington as lies between Crossways Garage and Whitehall Farmhouse.

The alternative route for vehicles is via Water Lane – High Street – Coles Lane – Longstanton Road and vice versa.

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate water connection and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 10 June 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 9 December 2025 whichever is the earlier.

It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 10 June to 13 June 2024.

Foxton Road, Barrington
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-721

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Foxton Road, Barrington as lies between numbers 22 and 23.

The alternative route for vehicles is via Challis Green – High Street – West Green – Shepreth Road – Barrington Road, Shepreth – Station Road – Fowlmere Road – A10 – Barrington Road, Foxton and vice versa.

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate telecommunications pole replacement and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 17 June 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 16 December 2025 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 09:30hrs to 15:30hrs 17 June 2024.

Newmarket Road (A1134), Cambridge
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-724

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Newmarket Road (A1134), Cambridge as lies between number 77 and Elizabeth Way (A1134).

The alternative route for vehicles is via A1134 – A1303 – Victoria Avenue – Maids Causeway and vice versa.

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate telecommunications and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 24 June 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 23 December 2025 whichever is the earlier.

It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 23:00hrs and 05:00hrs 24 June to 26 June 2024.

Cambridge Road (A1301), Great Shelford
(TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF CYCLE LANE) ORDER 2024-725

Will be to temporarily suspend the cycle lane on Cambridge Road (A1301), Great Shelford as lies between numbers 127 and 131.

During the period this Order remains in force The County of Cambridge (Cambridge Road and High Green, Great Shelford) (Mandatory With-flow Cycle Lane) Order 1993. Schedule: Lengths of road or sides of road in the District of South Cambridgeshire Parish of Great Shelford, Mandatory With-flow Cycle Lane, Cambridge Road: (location – direction of travel). Northeast side from its junction with Shelford Road, Cambridge, south-eastward to a point 83m southeast of its junction with Westfield Road, and from its junction with Westfield Road, south-eastwards to its junction with Davey Crescent, Great Shelford – Northwest to southeast (direction of travel). Southwest side, from its junction with Davey Crescent, Great Shelford, north-westward to a point 268m southwest of its junction with Westfield Road, and from a point 83m southeast of its junction with Westfield Road to it junction with Shelford Road, Cambridge – Southeast to northwest is hereby suspended.

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate telecommunications and associated works which are being carried out on or near the cycle lane and it will come into operation on 18 June 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 17 December 2025 whichever is the earlier.

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Crabtree Croft, Linton as lies between Symonds House and Back Road.

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate footway slurry sealing and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 1 June 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 30 November 2025 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 07:30hrs and 18:00hrs 1 June to 1 October 2024.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-727

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Cardinals Green, Mill Green, Horseheath and Mill Green, Shudy Camps as lies between Horseheath Green and Nosterfield End.

The alternative route for vehicles is via Horseheath Green – A1307 – A1017 – Burton End, Haverhill – Nosterfield End, Shudy Camps and vice versa.

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate Installation and movement of road signage, road markings and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 24 June 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 23 December 2025 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 24 June and 28 June 2024.

School Lane, Toft
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-729

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along School Lane, Toft as lies between Numbers 5 and 27.

The alternative route for vehicles is via B1046 – Brookside – School Lane and vice versa.

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate relay lead supply and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 24 June 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 23 December 2025 whichever is the earlier.

It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 24 June and 28 June 2024.

Victoria Street, Cambridge
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-730

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Victoria Street, Cambridge as lies between numbers 19a and 19b.

The alternative route for vehicles is via Clarendon Street – Earl Street – Emmanuel Road and vice versa.

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate relay lead supply and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 17 June 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 16 December 2025 whichever is the earlier.

It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 17 June and 20 June 2024.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-734

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Long Drove, Cottenham as lies between the B1049 and Cottenham Footpath 11.

The alternative route for vehicles is via B1049 – Denmark Road – Beach Road – Long Drove and vice versa.

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate quarry extension and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 3 June 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 2 December 2025 whichever is the earlier.

It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 3 June and 24 June 2024.

Hinxton Road, Duxford
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-735

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Hinxton Road, Duxford as lies between points 20m either side of the railway level crossing situated there as measured from its gates or barriers.

The alternative route for vehicles is via Hinxton Road – Chapel Street – Chapel Street (C284) – Moorfield Road – A505 – A1301 – North End Road – High Street (C525) – Duxford Road and vice versa.

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate essential maintenance works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 18 June 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 17 December 2025 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out overnight between 00:01hrs and 04:30hrs 18 June 2024.

Green Street, Cambridge
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-738

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Green Street, Cambridge as lies between number 17 and Trinity Street.

The alternative route for vehicles is via Trinity Street – Bridge Street – Sidney Street – Green Street and vice versa.

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate wall repair and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 17 June 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 16 December 2025 whichever is the earlier.
