NOTICE OF TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC –ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – Queens Avenue, Macclesfield

Notice is hereby given that the Cheshire East Borough Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, and of all other enabling powers has made an order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic. Prohibition of traffic – Queens Avenue, Macclesfield – From the junction with Meadow Way to the junction with Chestnut Avenue.

The alternative route will be via Queens Avenue, Hurdsfield Road, Hurdsfield Road Roundabout, The Silk Road, Brocklehurst Roundabout, Hulley Road, Queens Avenue and vice versa which is considered the most suitable route.

This order will come into operation on Monday 17June 2024 and will continue in force for 18 months or for such less time as is necessary to complete the work to be executed in the highway, although it is anticipated that the works will be completed by Friday 28 June 2024.

Public Rights of Way Notice

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF PEDESTRIANS

Public Footpath No. 69 (Part) Parish of Rainow

Notice is hereby given pursuant to the provisions of Section 14 (1) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, that the Cheshire East Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit pedestrians on the following:

That length of Public Footpath No. 69 (Part) Rainow which commences at OS grid reference (OSGR) SJ 9492 7579 and runs in a generally south-southeasterly direction for approx. 396 m. to OSGR SJ 9512 7546.

The closure is necessary to protect the public from danger while essential works are taking place on or near the footpaths. Works are required to the path due to damage caused by a landslip.

The Order continues the restriction that came into force on 26 April 2024 and will continue in force for a period not exceeding 6 months, or until the works required on or adjacent to the footpath are completed.

An alternative route is available via the Public Rights of Way Network.
