Elm Avenue - Temporary Prohibition Of Traffic Gas Mains Replacement Works
What is happening?

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)(a)
ELM AVENUE, GRIMSBY (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC - TTRO 24-039) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the North East Lincolnshire Borough Council intends to make, not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, an Order, the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any motor vehicle, from PROCEEDING along on the below sections of highway:
A section of ELM AVENUE- Part length from the junction of CROSS COATES ROAD heading in a south westerly direction to the junction of ASHTREE AVENUE, for a distance of 65 metres.
Alternative route: Ashtree Avenue, Richmond Road, Cross Coates Road (reverse route applies)
This temporary prohibition is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road by CADENT GAS. These works are detailed as gas mains replacement works.
The Order will come into operation on Monday, 10 June 2024, and will continue in force for a period not exceeding 18 months unless extended for a further period by the Secretary of State for Transport, or until completion of the works (whichever is the earlier). The closure is expected to remain in place until Monday, 24 June 2024. Definitive dates and times will be notified with on-site advanced warning signs.
