What is happening?
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)
CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL
(CASTLE HILL ROAD, TOTTERNHOE)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Castle Hill Road, Totternhoe outside number 217.
This temporary closure is required to enable water connection works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place from 11 to 14 June 2024. The road will be closed at all times during this period.
The alternative route for this closure is via Eaton Bray Road, Totternhoe Road, High Street, Bower Lane, Harling Road, Tring Road, Totternhoe Road and vice versa.
The Order will come into operation on 11 June 2024 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL
(MANCROFT ROAD, CADDINGTON)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Mancroft Road, Caddington between number 250 and Piper’s Farm.
This temporary closure is required to enable highway surveying works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place from 10 to 14 June 2024 between the hours of 8am and 6pm. The road will be closed at all times during this period.
The alternative route for this closure is via Woodside Road, Manor Road, Dunstable Road and vice versa.
The Order will come into operation on 10 June 2024 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Newlands Road, Hyde between B4540 and A1081.
This temporary closure is required to enable the full construction of new junctions and highway improvement works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place from 28 May to 27 November 2024. The road will be closed at all times during this period.
The alternative route for this closure is via London Road, A1081, B487, A5183, Dunstable Road, Luton Road and vice versa.
The Order will come into operation on 28 May 2024 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the full length of Langdale Road Service Road, Dunstable.
This temporary closure is required to enable telecommunication maintenance works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place on 30 May 2024 between the hours of 8am and 6pm. The road will be closed at all times during this period.
The alternative route for this closure is via Langdale Road, Patterdale Close and vice versa.
The Order will come into operation on 30 May 2024 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Knolls View, Totternhoe between Stanbridge Road and the Industrial Estate.
This temporary closure is required to enable carriageway patching works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place from 28 to 31 May 2024 between the hours of 9am and 3:30pm. The road will be closed at all times during this period.
There is no alternative route for this closure. Access to be maintained for residents.
The Order will come into operation on 28 May 2024 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.
