What is happening?

(OFF-STREET PARKING PLACES) ORDER 2021
(AMENDMENT NO. 2) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is hereby given that Dartford Borough Council Has Made the above named Order under sections 32, 35, and 124 and Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, and of all other enabling powers, and with the consent of the Kent County Council given under Section 39 of the Act, and after consultation with the chief officer of police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act:
The effect of the Order is to add a new car park to the list of off-street parking areas:-

A copy of the Order, statement of the Council’s reasons for the Made Order and appendices with relevant articles and schedules which will come into effect on the 31st May 2024 may be examined by prior appointment on Mondays to Fridays between 10am and 4pm at Dartford Borough Council Offices, Civic Centre, Home Gardens, Dartford, Kent DA1 1DR during normal office hours or viewed online at https://www.dartford.gov.uk/policy-1/parking-strategy-consultations/1

Anyone may, by application to the High Court within six weeks of the date of publication of this Notice, challenge the validity of the Order or of any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or of any instrument made thereunder, or that there has been a failure to comply with any statutory requirement in relation to the Order.
