Essex County Council

(Maigold Avenue and Various Roads, Myland, Colchester) (20mph Zone) Order 202*

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council proposes to make the above Order under section 84(1)(a) and (2), and Part III of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended)

Effect of the order: To introduce a '20mph Zone' on the following lengths of road, Myland, in the City of Colchester as specified:

(Greenstead Road, Colchester) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Greenstead Road, Colchester in the City of Colchester, from a point approximately 55m south east of its junction with Harwich Road for a distance of approximately 20m in a south easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 10th June 2024 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (AD01310754987 - Anglian Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new water connection works are undertaken by Anglian Water.

An alternative route is available via Greenstead Roundabout, St Andrews Avenue, Harwich Road and vice versa (with access only into Greenstead Road).

The Order will come into effect on 23rd May 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Hamilton Road, Colchester) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Hamilton Road, Colchester in the City of Colchester, from its junction with Butt Road to its junction with Maldon Road a distance of approximately 245m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 10th June 2024 for 4 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2358346 - Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

An alternative route is available via Maldon Road, Constantine Road, Butt Road and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 23rd May 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(New Road, Tiptree) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of New Road, Tiptree in the City of Colchester, from a point approximately 30m north east of its junction with Church Road for a distance of approximately 10m in a north easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 10th June 2024 for 12 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AD01462585848 - Anglian Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while renew flow meter and bypass installation works are undertaken by Anglian Water.

An alternative route is available via Chapel Road, Church Road and vice versa (with access only into New Road).

The Order will come into effect on 23rd May 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Straight Road/Wick Road, Great Bentley & Bentley Road, St Osyth) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Straight Road/Wick Road, Great Bentley & Bentley Road, St Osyth in the District of Tendring, from the junction with High Birch Road to the junction with South Heath Road a distance of approximately 2460m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 12th June 2024 for 6 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2357178 - Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

An alternative route is available via High Birch Road, Clay Lane, Frowick Lane, Flag Hill, Dead Lane, South Heath Road and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 23rd May 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Spruce Avenue, Colchester) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Spruce Avenue, Colchester in the City of Colchester, from a point approximately 80m south east of its junction with Sycamore Road for a distance of approximately 55m in a south easterly then north easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 10th June 2024 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (BC008WFHNWL7X -Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while pole replacement works are undertaken by Openreach.

An alternative route is available via Spruce Avenue, Sycamore Road and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 23rd May 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Tey Road, Aldham) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Tey Road, Aldham in the City of Colchester, from its junction with Brook Road for a distance of approximately 115m in a westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 12th June 2024 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (A5009-ESS-30892-04 - County Broadband LTD). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new connection works are undertaken by County Broadband LTD.

An alternative route is available via Rectory Road, Brook Road and vice versa (with access only into Tey Road). The Order will come into effect on 23rd May 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Various Roads, City of Chelmsford) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic & Temporary Introduction of a Clearway) (No.11) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order:

1. To temporarily close those lengths of roads in the City of Chelmsford as specified in the schedule to this Order.

2. A temporary 'No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping' restriction will be introduced on both sides of carriageway on those lengths of roads specified in the schedule for the duration of the closures to facilitate the works. Signs will be installed indicating when the No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping restriction will be in force.

"The Essex County Council (Chelmsford City) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019" will be temporarily amended to include the temporary 'No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping at Any Time' restriction and suspend any existing parking and waiting restrictions on the above lengths of roads only. All other restrictions and exemptions contained in the aforementioned Order and Amendments to that Order shall remain in force. The works being undertaken will take place within an 18-month period from 23rd May 2024, exact dates will be specified on One.Network. The roads will be closed to facilitate each phase of works and then re-opened to the public. Access will be maintained for emergency services. Diversion routes will be signed at each location and residents will be informed of the dates of each phase via letter/leaflet drop and advanced warning signs on the road. (Brook Road, Aldham) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Brook Road, Aldham in the City of Colchester, from its junction with Tey Road for a distance of approximately 1530m in a south easterly then south westerly then south easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 28th May 2024 for 11 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2359415 - Essex County Council ). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

An alternative route is available via New Road, Ford Street, Halstead Road, Colchester Road, The Street, Chappel Hill, Swan Street, Chappel Road, Brook Road, Great Tey Road, A120 From J B1024 To J A12, A120 J A12 West Roundabout, Station Road, North Lane and vice versa.

The Order came into effect on 9th May 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Langham Lane, Boxted) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Langham Lane, Boxted in the City of Colchester from its junction with Severalls Lane for a distance of approximately 190m in a south easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 28th May 2024 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (BC008WFHFNR9Z - Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while pole recovery works are undertaken by Openreach. Alternative routes are available via

1. Langham Lane, Park Lane, Wick Road, Birchwood Road, A12, Crown Interchange Roundabout, Ipswich Road, Severalls Lane (Clockwise Only).

2. Severalls Lane, Ipswich Road, Crown Interchange Roundabout, A12, Park Lane, Langham Lane (Anti-Clockwise Only).

The Order came into effect on 9th May 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
