HYSBYSIR drwy hyn fod Cyngor Bwrdeistref Sirol Merthyr Tudful, wrth arfer ei bwerau o dan Adrannau 1(1) a 2(1) i (3) o Ddeddf Rheoleiddio Traffig Ffyrdd 1984 (“y Ddeddf”) (fel y’i diwygiwyd), a’r holl bwerau galluogi eraill ac ar ôl ymgynghori â Phennaeth yr Heddlu yn unol â Rhan III o Atodlen 9 o’r Ddeddf wedi gwneud y Gorchymyn canlynol, Disgrifir ei effaith gyffredinol isod. 
Daeth y Gorchymyn i rym ar Mai 20fed 2024.

Mae effaith y Gorchymyn fel a ganlyn:-

Ni chaiff unrhyw berson achosi i unrhyw gerbyd y mae ei led yn fwy na 6 troedfedd 6 modfedd (1.981 metr) fynd ar hyd y rhan honno o Hen Lôn Swyddfa’r Post, Treharris o bwynt 42 metr i’r gogledd o’i chyffordd â Ochr y Dramffordd i gyfeiriad y gogledd i’w chyffordd â Ffordd Caerdydd.

Os yw unrhyw berson yn dymuno cwestiynu dilysrwydd y Gorchymyn, neu unrhyw un o’r darpariaethau ar y sail nad yw ef neu hi o fewn y pwerau a roddwyd gan y Ddeddf Rheoleiddio Traffig Ffyrdd1984 (fel y’i diwygiwyd), neu fod unrhyw un o ofynion y Ddeddf, neu unrhyw offeryn a wneir oddi tano heb gydymffurfio ag ef, gall y person hwnnw o fewn chwe wythnos i’r dyddiad y gwneir y gorchymyn, a bydd yn berthnasol i’r Uchel Lys at y dibenion hyn. Gwnaethpwyd y Gorchymyn ar Fai 16eg 2024.

MERTHYR TYDFIL COUNTY BOROUGH COUNCIL

OLD POST OFFICE LANE, TREHARRIS (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING OF VEHICLES IN EXCESS OF 6 FEET 6 INCHES (1.981 METRES) IN WIDTH) ORDER 2024 

NOTICE is hereby given that Merthyr Tydfil County Borough Council in exercise of its powers under Sections 1(1) and 2(1) to (3) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (“the Act”) (as amended), and all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 of the Act has made the following Order, the general effect of which is described below. 

The Order came into force on 20th May 2024.

The effect of the Order is as follows:-

No person shall cause any vehicle the width of which is in excess of 6 feet 6 inches (1.981 metres) to proceed along that part of Old Post Office Lane, Treharris from a point 42 metres north of its junction with Tramroadside in a northerly direction to its junction with Cardiff Road.

If any person wishes to question the validity of the Order, or any of its provisions on the ground that it or they are not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended), or that any requirement of the Act, or of any instrument made under it has not been complied with, that person may within six weeks from the date on which the Order is made, apply to the High Court for these purposes. The Order was made on 16th May 2024.
