What is happening?
BOROUGH OF ROCHDALE
(ELLIS FOLD, ROCHDALE) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF VEHICLES) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Rochdale Borough Council intend, in not less than seven days, to make an Order, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along Ellis Fold from a point 146 metres north of its junction with Nordale Park (southerly junction) for a distance of 45 metres in a northerly direction.
The Order is required to facilitate electrical works in the footway and carriageway.
The Order will be operative from 08:00 hours on 8th June 2024 until 18:00 hours on 9th June 2024.
(FOOD AND DRINK FESTIVAL, LITTLEBOROUGH) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF VEHICLES, TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF WAITING AND TEMPORARY ONE-WAY WORKING) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Rochdale Borough Council intend, in not less than seven days, to make an Order, the effect of which will be to: -
a) Temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along: -
i. Hare Hill Road, from its junction with Church Street to its junction with Greenwood Street,
ii. Hare Hill Road, in a south-easterly direction from its junction with Sale Street to its junction with Greenwood Street,
iii. Victoria Street, from its junction with Lodge Street to its junction with Wellington Street,
b) Temporarily prohibit vehicles from waiting at any time along: -
i. Hare Hill Road, from its junction with Church Street to its junction with Sale Street,
ii. Victoria Street from its junction with Lodge Street to its junction with Wellington Street,
c) Temporarily suspend those parts of the Borough of Rochdale (Civil Enforcement of Traffic Contraventions)
(Various Streets) (Pennines Township) Order 2008 along those sections of Highway specified in the temporary prohibition of waiting at any time in this order.
The Order is required to facilitate the safe holding of the Littleborough Food and Drink Festival 2024.
The Prohibition of Vehicles Order and One-Way Working Order will be operative from 08:00 hours until 18:00 hours on 08th June 2024.
The Prohibition of Waiting Order will be operative from 06:00 hours until 18:00 hours on 08th June 2024.
The alternative route for Hare Hill Road will be via Church Street, Featherstall Road, Whitelees Road, Hare Hill Road and vice versa. Any other alternative routes available will be signed on street when the closures are in operation.
(OLDHAM ROAD, ROCHDALE) (TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF LOADING ONLY BAY & PROHIBITION OF NO WAITING AT ANY TIME) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Rochdale Borough Council have made an Order, the effect of which will
be to temporarily suspend the Loading Only Bay and prohibit vehicles from no waiting at any time along;
(i) Suspend (part of) the Borough of Rochdale ((Civil Enforcement of Traffic Contraventions) (Various Streets) (Rochdale Township) Order 2008)

Loading Only Bay Mon-Sat 7:30am-6:30pm (any Class of Vehicles)

Suspend the north easterly side from a point 51 metres south east of its junction with Junction Alley for a distance of 28 metres in a south easterly direction.
(ii) Prohibit vehicles from waiting at any time on Oldham Road, from the north easterly side from a point 51 metres south east of its junction with Junction Alley for a distance of 28 metres in a south easterly direction.
The Order is required to facilitate a new service connection on behalf of Electricity North West.
The Order will be operative from 08:00hours on the 28th May 2024 until 16:00hours on the 1st June 2024.
(SMITHY BRIDGE ROAD, LITTLEBOROUGH (2)) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF VEHICLES) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Rochdale Borough Council made an Order, the effect of which is to temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along Smithy Bridge Road from a point 15 metres north west of the level crossing for a distance of 40 metres in a south easterly direction.
The Order is required to facilitate tests to the Railway Level Crossing.
The Order will be operative from 00.05 hours until 05:40 hours on 29th May 2024.
The alternative route for vehicles is via Smithy Bridge Road, Milnrow Road (Littleborough), Wildhouse Lane, Kiln Lane, Bridge Street, Rochdale Road, Milnrow Road (Rochdale), Albert Royds Street, Halifax Road (A58), Smithy Bridge Road and vice-versa.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF VEHICLES, TEMPORARY NO WAITING AT ANY TIME AND TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF EXISTING PARKING RESTRICTIONS) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Rochdale Borough Council intend, in not less than seven days, to make an Order, the effect of which will be to: -
c) Temporarily Prohibit vehicles from proceeding along: -
i) Broad Lane (B6194), from the Borough Boundary to its junction with New Broad Lane and from its junction with New Broad Lane to its junction with Oldham Road (A671).
ii) New Broad Lane (B6194), for its entire length.
iii) Oldham Road (A671), from its junction with Broad Lane (B6194) to its junction with Wood Street (A671).
iv) Wood Street (A671), for its entire length.
v) Molesworth Street (A671), for its entire length.
vi) John Street (A671), for its entire length.
vii) St Mary’s Gate (A58), from the signalised junction with Yorkshire Street to its junction with Newgate.
viii) Spotland Road (A680), for its entire length.
ix) Edenfield Road (A680), for its entire length
x) Rochdale Road (A680), Ramsbottom, from its boundary with Greater Manchester to its junction with Bury Road (A676).
xi) Bury Road (A676), Ramsbottom, from its junction with Rochdale Road (A680) to its merging with C706 Bury Road (C706).
xii) Bury Road (C706), Ramsbottom from its merging with Bury Road (A676) to its boundary with Greater Manchester.
d) Temporarily Prohibit vehicles from Waiting at Any Time along: -
i) Broad Lane (B6194), both sides from its junction with Turf Hill Road to its junction with Oldham Road (A671).
ii) Edenfield Road (A680), both sides from its junction with Rooley Street to its junction with Upper Passmonds Grove.
iii) Edenfield Road (A680), both sides from its junction with Moorland Terrace to its junction with Shawfield Lane.
iv) Edenfield Road (A680), the south side from its junction with Shawfield Lane to its junction with Shepherd Street.
v) Bury Road (A676), Ramsbottom, both sides from its junction with Rochdale Road (A680) to its merging with C706 Bury Road (C706).
vi) Bury Road (C706), Ramsbottom, both sides from its merging with Bury Road (A676) to its boundary with Greater Manchester.
e) Temporarily suspend those parts of the Borough of Rochdale (Civil Enforcement of Traffic Contraventions) (Various Streets) (Rochdale Township) Order 2008 along those sections of Highway specified in the part of this order relating to No Waiting at Any Time.
f) Temporarily suspend LANCASHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL (ROSSENDALE AREA) (ON STREET PARKING
PLACES, PROHIBITION AND RESTRICTION OF WAITING) CONSOLIDATION ORDER 2009 – No Waiting Mon-Sat 8am-6pm.
• Schedule 11.075 Item No. 22 – Bury Road (adopted highway), West side, from its junction with Bolton Road North for a distance of 25 metres approximately in a south-easterly direction.
The Temporary Prohibition of Vehicles will be operative between 11.00 hours and 16.00 hours on 9th June 2024.
The Temporary Prohibition of Waiting will be operative from 22.00 hours on 8th June 2024 until 15.00 hours on 9th June 2024.
The Order is required to facilitate the safe movement of the Women’s Tour of Britain Cycle Race and contains certain exemptions relating to emergency and race vehicles.
