(TRAFALGAR STREET, GILLINGHAM)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024

Notice is hereby given that Medway Council intend to make an Order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to carry out gully and linear drainage cleaning -

Trafalgar Street, Gillingham - to be closed to all vehicular traffic between from the junction with Balmoral Avenue and to the junction with Canterbury Street. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. An alternative route will be available via Duncan Road, Balmoral Road, High Street and Canterbury Street. There will be no exit from Randolph Road and Gorst Street on to Trafalgar Street. The ‘one way’ restriction in these roads will be relaxed to permit
access/exit via Balmoral Road.

This Order will come into force on Wednesday, 26 June 2024 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner.

The works are due to commence on or after Wednesday, 26 June 2024 and are programmed for completion within one day. The Order will be effective only when the appropriate signs are being displayed.

(SIDNEY ROAD AND COOKHAM HILL, BORSTAL)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
Notice is hereby given that Medway Council have made an Order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable highway maintenance works to be carried out -
Sidney Road and Cookham Hill, Borstal - to be closed to all vehicular traffic for the whole lengths of both roads. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. Alternative routes will be provided and signed as the works progress. Emergency access will be maintained at all times.

This Order will come into force on Thursday, 30 May 2024 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works are due to commence on or after Thursday, 30 May 2024 and are programmed for (a)
Sidney Road – 30/05/2024 for 1 day 7am-7pm and (b) Cookham Hill – 31/05/2024 for 1 day 7am-7pm. The Order will be effective only when the appropriate signs are being displayed.

ROCHESTER RIVERSIDE CONTROLLED PARKING ZONE R1
NOTICE OF PROPOSAL

MEDWAY COUNCIL (ROCHESTER RIVERSIDE PHASE 4)
(PARKING PLACES AND WAITING RESTRICTIONS)

ORDER 2024

Notice is hereby given that Medway Council proposes to make the above-mentioned Order under sections 1, 2, 32, 35, 37, 45, 46, 49 and 51 of, and Part IV of Schedule 9 to, the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.

The general effect of the Order would be to:
(a) introduce No Waiting at any time within the remainder of Gas House Road;
(b) introduce time-limited parking within the layby/designated bays (35m length) adjacent to Rochester Riverside C of E Primary School’s sports courts, to operate Mon - Fri 8-9am and 2.30-4pm;
(c) introduce parking for R1 permit holders (see Schedule below) within the layby/designated bays (35m length) adjacent to Rochester Riverside C of E Primary Schools’ sports courts, to operate at times other than Mon – Fri 8–9am and 2.30–4pm (see 2(b) above);
(d) introduce ‘loading only’ within the layby/designated bays (25.5m length) north of the primary school, west of the access point.

Any objections or other representations about the proposed Order should be sent in writing by email to TROconsult@medway.gov.uk or by post to “Parking Design team” at the address specified in the paragraph above by Friday, 14 June 2024 stating name, address and the grounds for objection or support.

Copies of the Order, plans and of other documents giving more detailed particulars of the Order can be inspected at the front reception, Chatham Library, Dock Road, Chatham, Kent, ME4 4TX during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive except for public holidays. Electronic copies of the documents can be requested by email to TROconsult@medway.gov.uk on the understanding that requests may take up to 5 working days to be processed.

(JEFFERY STREET, GILLINGHAM)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024

Notice is hereby given that Medway Council intend to make an Order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable a new water supply to be installed -

Jeffery Street, Gillingham - to be closed to all vehicular traffic between the junction with West Street and the junction with Victoria Street. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected.

An alternative route will be available via Railway Street. The ‘One way’ restriction in Jeffery Street will be suspended to facilitate access.

This Order will come into force on Monday, 17 June 2024 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works are due to commence on or after Monday, 17 June 2024 and are programmed for completion within five days. The Order will be effective only when the appropriate signs are being displayed.

(FOX STREET, GILLINGHAM)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024

Notice is hereby given that Medway Council intend to make an Order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable services to be connected to a property -

Fox Street, Gillingham - to be closed to all vehicular traffic across the frontage of 40 Fox Street. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. An alternative route will be available via Arden Street.

This Order will come into force on Monday, 17 June 2024 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works are due to commence on or after Monday, 17 June 2024 and are programmed for completion within two weeks. The Order will be effective only when the appropriate signs are being displayed.

(VARIOUS ROADS, MEDWAY) (COMMUNITY EVENTS)
(NO. 2) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2024

Notice is hereby given that Medway Council intend to make an Order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to facilitate the construction and removal of structures required for the holding of ‘Rochester Castle Live’ event, or because of the likelihood of danger to the public whilst the event is taking place.

Traffic Management - To facilitate the holding of the event mentioned in column (1) of the Table, on the dates and between the times set out in the corresponding columns (2) and (3), the traffic management provisions detailed in the Schedule identified in the corresponding column (4) will apply. These provisions will be in force as indicated in the Schedule below.

The restrictions specified in the schedule to this notice will not apply to police or emergency services’ vehicles and access will be maintained where practicable – to include authorised event service vehicles.

Pedestrian access to premises will be maintained.

This Order will come into force on Saturday, 29 June 2024, and will cease to have effect on Friday, 12 July 2024. The Order will only be effective when the appropriate signs are displayed.

Schedule RCL-1: Intermittent road closures and Traffic restrictions

• Castle Hill from its junction with Esplanade to its junction with Epaul Lane, to include Castle Hill Court – to include suspension of one-way operation to allow resident/event vehicle access.

• Epaul Lane from its junction with Castle Hill to its junction with Boley Hill – to include suspension of no entry and one-way operation to allow resident/event vehicle access.

• Boley Hill from its junction with High Street to its junction with St Margarets Street.

The roads above will be closed intermittently throughout these dates to allow for vehicle/plant ingress and/or egress to the Castle Gardens and Castle Moat area.

Schedule RCL-2: Road Closures and Traffic restrictions

• Castle Hill from its junction with Esplanade to its junction with Epaul Lane, to include

Castle Hill Court– to include suspension of one-way operation to allow resident and event vehicle access.

• Epaul Lane from its junction with Castle Hill to its junction with Boley Hill – to include suspension of no entry and one-way operation to allow event vehicle access.

• Boley Hill from its junction with St Margarets Street to its junction with High Street, to include its junction with College Yard/The Precinct.

• Boley Hill at its junction with High Street, suspension of no left or right turn for authorised vehicles only – (0800hrs to midnight).

Schedule RCL-3:

• High Street Rochester from its junction with Corporation Street bus lane to its northwestern junction of Blue Boar Lane - to include suspension of one-way operation and no entry for authorised vehicles only.

• Northgate from its junction with Cathedral car park to its junction with High Street.

• Esplanade from its junction with High Street to its northern junction with Bakers Walk.

• A2 eastbound, prohibited right turn to Esplanade, Rochester.

Schedule RCL-4: Suspension of on-street parking bays as indicated by signs.

Suspension of single yellow line restrictions to no parking at any time, as indicated by signs and AAT cones.

From 6am on Friday, 5 July to 6am on Monday, 8 July inclusive

• Esplanade – from its junction of High Street to its northern junction with Bakers Walk (western and eastern sides), excluding Rochester Bridge Trust bays.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024

Notice is hereby given that Medway Council have made an Order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable equipment to be placed in the road to carry out a survey of telecommunications equipment.

Victoria Street, Rochester - to be closed to all vehicular traffic between the junction with Star Hill and across the frontage of 8 Victoria Street. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. An alternative route will be available via East Row, Vines Lane, St Margarets Street and Boley Hill.

This Order will come into force on Sunday, 28 April 2024 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The

works are due to commence on or after Sunday, 28 April 2024 and are programmed for completion within two days. The Order will be effective only when the appropriate signs are being displayed.
