Front Street - Temporary Road Closure For Resurfacing Works
What is happening?

(Temporary Road Closure) Order 2024
The Council on 14/5/2024 made the above Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 as amended, Section 14 (1) to prohibit all vehicular traffic from proceeding on 440 metre length of A692 Front Street extending north easterly from its junction with the access to Mulberry Grove, Hobson / Pickering Nook between 7pm and 6am to enable resurfacing works works to be undertaken.
An alternative route will be available to vehicular traffic from the southwestern side of the closure from A692 north on Syke Road then easterly on B6310 through Burnopfield and continuing northeasterly on A692 and north onto Fellside Road and easterly to A692 south westbound to the northeastern side of the closure, and vice versa.
The maximum duration of the Order is 18 months.
The proposed works are required between 7pm and 6am from Tuesday 28/5/2024 and are anticipated to be completed in 5 nights.
On occasions, alternative dates for closure may be necessary and these will be signed accordingly.
