Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
SWALE AREA
ALBANY ROAD, SITTINGBOURNE, ME10 1EH (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER JUNE 2024
To allow installation works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Albany Road, Sittingbourne, on or after 10th June 2024, for up to 12 days, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of number 98, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route is via Belmont Road, Park Road, Valenciennes Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
BREACH LANE, LOWER HALSTOW, ME9 7DH (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER MAY 2024
To allow renewal works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Breach Lane, Lower Halstow, on or after 28th May 2024, for up to one day, between the hours of 09.30 and 15.30, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from the junction with Holywell Lane, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route is via Breach Lane, A2 Hartlip Hill, A2 London Road, A2 Moor Street, Otterham Quay Lane, Horsham Lane, Forge Lane and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
CHURCH ROAD, TONGE. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER JUNE 2024
To allow maintenance works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Church Road, Tonge, on or after 13th June 2024, for up to 6 days, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of Sittingbourne Golf Centre, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
There is no alternative route for this closure, however, residential and emergency access will be maintained at all times when it is safe to do so.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
CROCKHAM LANE, HERNHILL, ME13 9JR (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER JUNE 2024
To allow repair works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Crockham Lane, Hernhill, on or after 10th June 2024, with estimated completion by 12th June 2024, between the hours of 09.30 and 15.30, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of Crockham Cottages, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route is via Crockham Road, Butlers Hill, Church Hill and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
CROWN ROAD, SITTINGBOURNE, ME10 2AH (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER MAY 2024
To allow repair works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Crown Road, Sittingbourne, on or after 28th May 2024, for up to 2 days, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of number 25, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route is via B2006 Staplehurst Road, Sheppey Way, Quinton Road, Vicarage Road, High Street, Crown Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
FOOTPATHS OF THORN WALK, FERN WALK & BRACKEN COURT, SITTINGBOURNE. (PROHIBITION OF PEDESTRIANS) TEMPORARY ORDER MAY 2024
To allow engineering works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through pedestrians on the footpaths of Thorn Walk, Fern Walk & Bracken Court, Sittingbourne, on or after 29th May 2024, with estimated completion by 22nd July 2024, or until the works have been completed.
The footpaths of Thorn Walk, Fern Walk & Bracken Court will be closed for the entire length, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
Access will be maintained for residents when it is safe to do so, or alternative arrangements will be agreed with residents.
KEMSDALE ROAD, HERNHILL. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER JUNE 2024
To allow reconstruction works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on Kemsdale Road, Hernhill, on or after 6th June 2024, for up to 18 months and will be lifted as soon as it is safe to do so.
The road will be closed for the entire length, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route is via Staple Street, Church Hill, Fostall, Kemsdale Road and vice versa.
STALISFIELD ROAD, FAVERSHAM. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER MAY 2024
To allow maintenance works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Stalisfield Road, Faversham, on or after 31st May 2024, for up to 5 days, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of Rooks Hill House, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route is via Stalisfield Road, Bowl Road, A252 Charing Hill, A252 Faversham Road, A251 Ashford Road, A2 London Road, Brogdale Road, Whitehill, Stalisfield Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
THE STREET, HARTLIP, ME9 7TL (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER MAY 2024
To allow overhead cabling works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of The Street, Hartlip, on or after 28th May 2024, for up to one day, between the hours of 09.30 and 15.30, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of The Cottage, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route is via The Street, Mount Lane, Lower Hartlip Road, Munns Lane and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
WARREN LANE, HARTLIP, ME9 7TP (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER MAY 2024
To allow reinstatement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Warren Lane, Hartlip, on or after 29th May 2024, for up to 3 days, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of Greenborough House, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route is via Mount Lane, Warren Lane and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
WEST STREET, BLUETOWN, SHEERNESS. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING & TEMPORARY ONE-WAY SUSPENSION) TEMPORARY ORDER JUNE 2024
To allow new connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of West Street, Bluetown, Sheerness, on or after 10th June 2024, for up to 3 days, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of Pier Toll House, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The One-Way Order on West Street will be suspended for the duration of the works to allow for access.
The alternative route is via A249 From J B2007 To J A250, Chapel Street, High Street, West Street and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
