PROPOSED TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER THE OLDHAM AREAS CONSOLIDATION ORDER PROHIBITION OF WAITING/STOPPING/LIMITED WAITING AMENDMENT ORDER 2024
The Oldham Borough Council propose to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to prohibit waiting at all times on:- Clough Road Failsworth - north side from Hibbert Crescent for 18 metres easterly, & south side from Alder Road for 29 metres easterly and on Hibbert Crescent east side from Clough Road for 22 metres northerly & west side from a point opposite the northerly kerb line of Clough Road for 4 metres northerly and on Alder Road west side from a point opposite the northerly kerb-line of Clough Road for 31 metres southerly & east side from Clough Road for 32 metres southerly
Hobson Street Failsworth both sides from Peel Street for 10 metres north easterly
Hampton Road Failsworth east side extend the at any time waiting restrictions from 8 metres to 10 metres and on the west side from 4 metres to 10 metres
Coverhill Road Grotton west and south-west side from Oldham Road to a point 28 metres south of Grotton Meadows, Coverhill Road east and north-east side from Oldham Road for 150 metres generally southerly & Chimes Court both sides from Coverhill Road for 10 metres south westerly
Sharples Hall Street - both sides from Huddersfield Road for 10 metres northerly & Huddersfield Road -north side from Sharples Hall Street 15 metres westerly
Sandy Lane Dobcross north west side 18 metres north east of Platt Lane for 109 metres north easterly & south east side from Southgate for 17 metres south westerly and on Southgate south west side from Sandy Lane for 10 metres south easterly and on The Square north east side from Sandy Lane for 5 metres south easterly
Trent Road Shaw east side from Cheviots Road for 48 metres northerly and on Cheviots Road north side from Trent Road for 15 metres easterly
Grampian Way Shaw north east side from a point a point 15 metres north west of Derwent Drive to Duchess Street & on Duchess Street north east side from a point 20 metres south east of Derwent Drive Grampian Way & on Derwent Drive north west side from Grampian Way for 30 metres north easterly & on Derwent Drive south east side from Duchess Street for 50 metres north easterly & on Derwent Drive- Central Splitter Island both sides from Grampian Way / Duchess Street for its full length and to prohibit stopping on Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm on Grampian Way and Duchess Street south west side Commencing on Grampian Way at a point 86 metres south east of Highlands Road for a distance of 43.56m in a south easterly direction which then terminates on Duchess Street Under Lane Grotton east side from Quickedge Lane for 22 metres northerly, Under Lane west side 24 metres north of Old Kiln Lane to a point 65 metres south of Old Kiln Lane & Old Kiln Lane both sides from Under Lane for 15 metres westerly
And to introduce Limited Waiting Monday to Saturday 8am - 6pm on Ripponden Road - north west side 60 metres north east of its junction with Broadbent Road for 14 metres north easterly where a vehicle can wait for 1 hour with a period of 1 hour to expire before a vehicle can return.

Any objection or representations regarding the proposal should be sent to env.traffic@oldham.gov.uk or the Environment Group Solicitor to the Council, Civic Centre, West Street, Oldham, OL1 1UL in writing, stating the title of the Order and road names to which they relate and the grounds for making them by 20th June 2024. Any objections or representations will be made available for public inspection.
