Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
GRAVESHAM AREA
B261 OLD ROAD EAST, GRAVESEND, DA12 1PE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
Because of Southern Water works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of B261Old Road East, Gravesend, on or after 28th May 2024 for up to 11 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside number 89.
The alternative route is via B261 Old Road East/Old Road West, A227 Wrotham Road, Rathmore Road, A226 Darnley Road/Bath Street/West Street/Crooked Lane/The Terrace/Harmer Street/Berkley Crescent/Milton Road/East Milton Street/Rochester Road, B261 Old Road East.
B261 Old Road East,A226 Rochester Road/East Milton Street/Milton Road/Parrock Street/Lord Street/Windmill Street/Woodville Place, A227 Wrotham Road, B261 Old Road West/Old Road East.
CASTLE LANE, GRAVESEND, DA12 4TG (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
Because of Openreach works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Castle Lane, Gravesend, on or after 14th June 2024 for up to 4 days between 09.00hrs and 17.00hrs or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside number 97.
The alternative route is via Castle Lane, A226 Rochester Road, Chalk Road, Vicarage Lane, Lower Higham Road and vice versa.
CHAPMANS HILL, MEOPHAM, DA13 0QN (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
Because of drainage cleansing works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Chapmans Hill, Meopham, on or after 31st May 2024 for up to 1 day between 09:30hrs and 15:30hrs or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed at the junction with A227 Wrotham Road.
The alternative route is via Chapmans Hill, Rosemary Lane, Hodsoll Street, A227 Wrotham Road and vice versa.
COBHAM STREET, GRAVESEND, DA11 0PL (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING & SUSPEND ONE WAY) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
Because of Southern Water works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Cobham Street, Gravesend, on or after 28th May 2024 for up to 4 days or until the works have been completed. The One-Way will be suspended to allow access.
The road will be closed at the junction with A227 Wrotham Road.
The alternative route is via A227 Wrotham Road, Arthur Street, Darnley Road.
DEAN LANE, MEOPHAM, DA13 0BS (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
Because of Openreach works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Dean Lane, Meopham, on or after 14th June 2024 for up to 4 days between 09.00hrs and 17.00hrs, with no weekend working or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed adjacent to Green Shutters.
The alternative route is via Dean Lane, Harvel Street, White Horse Lane, Leywood Road, Strawberry Hill and vice versa.
KITCHENER AVENUE, GRAVESEND, DA12 5HS (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
Because of Southern Water works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Kitchener Avenue, Gravesend, on or after 12th June 2024 for up to 7 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside number 46.
The alternative route is via Kitchener Avenue, Jellicoe Avenue, Princes Road, Queens Road and vice versa.
VALLEY DRIVE, GRAVESEND, DA12 5QN (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING & ONE WAY SUSPENSION) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
Because of telecoms works on the mast on Hillside Avenue, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Valley Drive, Gravesend, on or after 10th June 2024 for up to 1 night between 21.00hrs and 05.00hrs or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed at the junction with Hillside Avenue.
The One Way Order will be suspended to allow access.
WHITE HORSE LANE, HARVEL ROAD, ERSKINE ROAD, COMMORITY ROAD & DAVID STREET MEOPHAM (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
Harvel 5 Mile Running Race - 1 June 2024
Kent County Council has made an Order for the safety of the public whilst an event is being held on the highway to temporarily prohibit the use of Vehicles on:-
White Horse Lane (from Dean Lane to Harvel Road)
Harvel Road (from White House Road to Erskine Road)
Erskine Road (from Harvel Road to Commority Road)
Commority Road (whole length)
David Street (from Harvel Lane to Heron Hill Lane)
The Order will be effective when required on Saturday 1 June 2024 between 12.45hrs and 15.15hrs. The restrictions/prohibitions specified in this notice will apply in the direction and only at such times as indicated by traffic signs in operation. Nothing in the Order will apply to:
• Any Vehicle being used for Ambulance purposes, Coastguard/RNLI, Fire Brigade or Police services.
• Anything done by a Statutory Undertaker vehicle in connection with an emergency repair.
• Anything done with the permission or at the direction of Event Organisers or a Police Constable in Uniform.
