What is happening?
OXFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(ELSFIELD PARISH) (20 MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that on 13 May 2024 Oxfordshire County Council made the above order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The order, which comes into force on 20 May introduces a 20mph speed limit within Elsfield, replacing the previous 30mph speed limit in its entirety follows:
- The unnamed road between the B4027 and the B4150 - between its junction with the access to 'Hill Farm House' at the southern end & a point 40 metres southeast of its junction with the access to 'Forest Farmhouse' to the north.
The Oxfordshire County Council (Restricted Roads) (Elsfield Parish) Order 1999 is revoked/replaced.

(WOODSTOCK) (SPEED LIMITS) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that on 13 May 2024 Oxfordshire County Council made the above order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The order, which comes into force on 20 May introduces a 20mph speed limit within Woodstock town replacing the majority of the 30mph speed limit (and incorporating the existing 20mph speed limit) leading out of the town to the following points:
1. A44 Oxford Road - a point 30 metres southeast of Rectory Lane,
2. A44 Manor Road - a point 85 metres north of Vermont Drive,
3. Banbury Road - a point 125 metres northeast of Budds Close,
4. Churchill Gate - its junction with the A44 Oxford Road,
5. Cadogan Park - its junction with the A44 Oxford Road,
6. Hill Rise (north & south access) - its junctions with the A44 Manor Road,
7. Oxford Road Service Road - its junction with the A44 Oxford Road,
8. Shipton Road - a point 50 metres east & south of Randolph Avenue.
Lengths of 30mph speed limit will be retained as 'buffer' limits on the northern & southern ends of the A44 Oxford/Manor Road, and the eastern end of Shipton Road approaching the village, with Officers having taken the current road environment & traffic usage into account.
The Oxfordshire County Council (Woodstock) (Speed Limits) Order 2022 is revoked/ replaced.

(ODDINGTON PARISH) (SPEED LIMITS) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that on 13 May 2024 Oxfordshire County Council made the above order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The order, which comes into force on 20 May introduces a 20mph speed limit within Oddington, replacing the majority of the 30mph speed limit, leading out to the following points:
1. High Street - a point 60 metres northeast of its junction with Main Street,
2. Middle Street - a point 185 metres northwest of its junction with College Farm Close,
3. Main Street - a point 15 metres southwest of its junction with the entrance to 'Rectory Farm'.
A 285 metre length of 30mph speed limit will be retained as a 'buffer' limit on High Street at the northern approach to the village, with Officers having taken the current road environment & traffic usage into account.
The Oxfordshire County Council (Oddington Parish) (Speed Limit) Order 2002 is revoked/ replaced.

(OXFORD, COWLEY CENTRAL EAST AREA) (CONTROLLED PARKING ZONE AND WAITING RESTRICTIONS) (VARIATION NO.5) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that on 13 May 2024 Oxfordshire County Council made the above order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The order - which comes into force on 20 May - will amend parking & waiting restrictions within the Cowley Central East Controlled Parking Zone (CPZ) in Oxford, following a review of the workings & effectiveness of the scheme, and will help facilitate safe movement & passage of traffic. Specifically, the measures comprise the following:
1. Barns Road;
New 'No Waiting at Any Time' parking restrictions (double yellow lines):
a) in place of the previous single yellow lines (No Waiting 8am-6.30pm Monday to Saturday) on the eastern side: i) northwest of the access to the garages adjacent to No. 160 Barns Road, ii) southeast of the access to the garages adjacent to No. 226 Barns Road, and iii) adjacent to Nos. 242 & 244 Barns Road.
b) On the western side: i) extending the restrictions adjacent to Nos.129-155 northwards by 11 metres, ii) extending the restrictions adjacent to No.43 northwards by 2 metres, iii) for 25 metres adjacent to Nos.17-23, iv) for 45 metres on the southern side of the service road between Nos.35 & 37 west of the main carriageway, v) for 22 metres at the northern end of the service road at the turning head, and vi) for 18 metres northwards from the service road.
c) On the eastern side: i) for 93 metres adjacent to Nos.134-160, ii) for 76 metres adjacent to Nos.36-52, and iii) extending the restrictions at the access to the Allotment Gardens/ Cycle Way (north of the Eastern Bypass) southwards by 15 metres.
d) Also the remaining areas of 2 hour parking places 'No return within 1 hour' will be extended to no return within 2 hours near property Nos.37 and 49/61.
2. Boswell Road:
a. New two-hour permitted waiting parking bay 'Monday to Saturday 8am-6.30pm with no return within two hours' on the southeast side adjacent to the play area, for a length of 2 metres,
b. New 'No Waiting at Any Time' parking restrictions (double yellow lines) on i) the southeast side, south of No.73a for 5 metres, and ii) both sides, either side of its junction with Frederick Road for a total distance of 24 metres.
3. Frederick Road -new 'No Waiting at Any Time' parking prohibition (double yellow lines) on both sides, a) south of its junction with Bailey Road for 10 metres, and b) north of the junction with Boswell Road for 10 metres.
4. Bailey Road -new 'No Waiting at Any Time' parking prohibition (double yellow lines) on the south side, either side of the junction with Frederick Road for a total length of 24 metres.
5) St Lukes Road:
a. Change of existing one-hour parking bays on either side of the carriageway (adjacent to the Telephone Exchange) to become shared-use 'Permit Holders' or 'two-hour wait, no return within two hours' both Monday to Saturday 8am-6.30pm,
b. New sections of 'No Waiting at Any Time' parking prohibition (double yellow lines) either side of the amended bays (reducing their existing length).
The Oxfordshire County Council (Oxford, Cowley Central East Area) (Controlled Parking Zone and Waiting Restrictions) Order 2021 is further amended as necessary. (KIDDINGTON WITH ASTERLEIGH PARISH) (SPEED LIMITS) ORDER 20**
NOTICE is given that Oxfordshire County Council proposes to make the above order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers. The effect of the order
- in support of road safety issues - is to introduce a 20mph speed limit within Kiddington, replacing the existing 30mph speed limits in the process, leading out to the following points:
1. The unnamed road to Middle Barton - a point 40 metres northeast of its junction with the access to 'Home Farm',
2. Park Road - a point 30 metres southwest of the centre of the River Glyme Bridge,
3. Oscar Street - a point 85 metres northwest of its junction with the unnamed road to Middle Barton.
Additionally, a new 20mph limit will be introduced in Over Kiddington as follows:
4. Park Road - from a point 55 metres north of its junction with the A44 Main Road, northwards for a distance of 215 metres.
Finally, the current 60mph National speed limit on parts of the unnamed road to Middle Barton through the village will be replaced by a 40mph speed limit 'buffer' limits as follow:
5. Park Road - from a point 270 metres north of its junction of the A44 Main Road, northwestwards to a point 30 metres south of the centre of the bridge crossing the River Glyme,
6. The unnamed road to Middle Barton - from a point 40 metres northeast of its junction with the access to 'Home Farm', north-westwards into its junction with the 'Whitehouse Farm Cottages' crossroads.
The Oxfordshire County Council (Kiddington with Asterleigh Parish) (Speed Limits) Order 2001 will be revoked/replaced as necessary.

NOTICE is given that Oxfordshire County Council proposes to make the above order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers. The effect of the order
- in support of road safety issues - is to introduce a 20mph speed limit within Fencott & Murcott, replacing the existing 30mph speed limit in its entirety, leading out to the following points:
A. Fencott:
1. The unnamed road running westwards to Charlton-on-Otmoor - a point 37 metres west of its junction with Black Bull Lane,
2. The unnamed road running eastwards to Murcott - a point 15 metres east of its junction with the public bridleway No.209/15/40.
B. Murcott:
3. The unnamed road running through the village:
a. Western end - a point 190 metres northwest of its junction with Fiveacres
b. Eastern end - a point 15 metres southeast of its junction with the public bridleway no.209/6/20
The Oxfordshire County Council (Fencott and Murcott Parish) (Speed Limit) Order 2003 will be revoked/replaced as necessary.

(APPLETON PARISH) (SPEED LIMITS) ORDER 20**
NOTICE is given that Oxfordshire County Council proposes to make the above order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers. The effect of the order
- in support of road safety issues - is to introduce a 20mph speed limit within Appleton (including Eaton), replacing the majority of the existing 30mph speed limit in the process, leading out to the following points:
1. Netherton Road - a point 265 metres southwest of its junction with Oaksmere.
2. Eaton Road - a point 55 metres north of its junction with Englands Lane,
3. Oaksmere - a point 49 metres south of its junction with Fettiplace Close. Additionally, a new 20mph speed limit will be introduced in Eaton as follows:
4. Bablock Hythe Road - from a point 144 metres northwest of its junction with Eaton Road, westwards for a distance of 360 metres.
Lengths of 30mph speed limit will be retained as 'buffer' limits on Netherton Road & Eaton Road at the northern & southern approaches to the village, with Officers having taken the current road environment & traffic usage into account. The Oxfordshire County Council (Restricted Roads) (Appleton Parish) Order 2000 will be revoked/replaced as necessary.

(THE CITY OF OXFORD) (CENTRAL AREA) (TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT) (VARIATION NO.*)
ORDER 20**
NOTICE is given that Oxfordshire County Council proposes to make the above order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers. The effect of the proposals - in order to help improve operating efficiencies throughout the day - is to remove the existing 'Prohibition of Motor Vehicles' restriction on Taxis & Licensed Private Hire Vehicles between the hours of 7am and 7pm in & around the Westgate shopping centre in Oxford, to allow for '24-hour' access on the following lengths of road:
1. Norfolk Street:
a. southwards from Castle Street,
b. northwards from Speedwell Street,
2. Speedwell Street:
a. westwards from the access point to Westgate southeast service area,
b. eastwards from Norfolk Street.
The Oxfordshire County Council (The City of Oxford) (Central Area) (Traffic Management) (Consolidation) Order 2003 will be further amended as necessary.
