Coal Lane, Temporary Road Closure Due To Water Works
What is happening?
Northumberland County Council Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 -Section 14(1) U8203 Coal Lane Ovington (Temporary Road Closure) Order 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council have made an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the U8203 Coal Lane Ovington from its point 79 metres south of its junction with C254 heading in a southerly direction for a length of 40 metres in the County of Northumberland.
The Order is to be effective from the 21st May 2024 until the 4th June 2024. It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 21st May 2024 between the hours of 08:00-16:00 during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 4th June 2024.
The alternative route for vehicular traffic will be via the C254, C253 and vice-versa.

The closure has been requested by Northumbrian Water Ltd to carry out CCTV/ cleansing works. In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.
