Catcleugh, Temporary Road Closure Due To Carriageway Works
What is happening?
Northumberland County Council Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 -Section 14(1) A68 Catcleugh To Carter Bar Catcleugh (Temporary Road Closure) Order 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council have made an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the A68 Catcleugh To Carter Bar Catcleugh from its point 155 metres east of its entrance to Ramshope Farm heading westwards for a distance of 5,000 metres in the County of Northumberland.
The Order is to be effective from the 20th May 2024 until the 20th June 2024. It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 20th May 2024 until the 31st May 2024 between the hours of 09:00 - 15:00 during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 20th June 2024.
The alternative route for vehicular traffic will be via the A68, A69, A689, A7 A6088 and vice versa. Enquiries should be made to Northumberland County Council's Contact Centre 0345 600 6400 or at https://one.network (enter the road number and road name). - Ref:138379447
The closure has been requested by Northumberland County Council to carry out carriageway road markings, road studs and antiskid. In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.
